jhulud
Wow. Just listened to the new song. Umm. To me it sounds like a bunch of grizzled old-timers who listened to nothing but Black Flag and figured they'd give it a go a doing a BF song. It's pretty atrocious. No sir, I don't like it. jase
smailtronic
I think there's a good stretch of the tour that is like that, where one band plays a city then two nights later the other plays in the general area. Is there a solid list of Flag dates anywhere? All I'm seeing are random one-off shows on their Facebook.
xxmartinxx
For better or worse, the new song starts up where the band left off in 1986. I think most people, myself included, was hoping that since Ron was in the band, the new material would sound like Jealous Again era Black Flag rather than In My Head era. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. In June, I will get to see Black Flag in Erie, PA and then two days later, see Flag in Buffalo. Frankly, I'm more excited to see Greg's version. Why? Because I've seen the Circle Jerks play Black Flag songs. I've seen the Descendents play Black Flag songs. I've never seen Greg Ginn and Ron Reyes play Black Flag songs. I have no idea what to expect. Also, Ron was also my favorite singer of Black Flag whereas Keith Morris was my third favorite. Plus, Keith is really fucking annoying on stage. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
anyone going to Erie better buy their tickets in advance, its a bar that holds maybe 200 people? https://www.eventbrite.com/event/4220282980?ref=ebtn
hipsterasfolk
Is Ron Reyes the dad of the dude from Coheed? 4 reel!

hipsterasfolk
guys... 22 SONGS. 22 SONG ALBUM. 22 SONGS LIKE THE ONE GINN POSTED.
crime
The second song they posted it (it just went up on lambgoat) is worse than the first one (if that's possible).
smailtronic
In the thread subject, shouldn't "song" be in quotes, too?
hipsterasfolk
I don't know what this is....is Ron Reyes trying to be Rollins during his long hair days or something. It sounds like like old Black Flag trying to be new Black Flag, sucking at the old Black while trying to poop out new Black Flag. </
lexicondevil
When I was listening to this new song, I was imagining that if this was not Black Flag how would I feel about it. I still would think it sucks and the fact that it is supposed to be "Black Flag" makes it 1,000 times worse. Even though the Pistols reunited, they were at least smart enough not to record any new material.

deletedunknown
The Chase is still something I'd say that is better than most the shlock that's slung around here, but that still doesn't make it good.... Anyway: Black Flag? More like Lack Flag, amiright. imaxcowboyx
derrickcook19941
Reyes just isn't the right vocalist for this. Really vocally Rollins has changed so much new stuff with him wouldn't be great. The only new black flag id like to hear is if Ginn an morris magically became friends again.
crime
Has anyone been to a FLAG show yet? I'm wondering what they have (if any) for merch. I'm really hoping they're selling a tour print/poster.

I saw them in Vegas a couple weeks ago. The only merch they have is the standard Black Flag shirt on white with the bars and a black shirt that lists all of the names on it. I dunno if they have added any new merch.

scottheisel
FLAG was great. Dez's voice was surprisingly awesome. No "TV Party" and the encore was a bit odd ("I Love You" and "Damaged") but overall it was fun. Shirts are $15 btw.
hipsterasfolk
Show was $32....not punk at all.
