Stickman31
Alright so I'm getting really paranoid about this: is it okay if my records lean a little bit? I try getting them straight but they always seem to lean to the left or the right a little. Is that okay, they won't get messed up/warped or anything right? patthickey
so you're telling me you dont use a protractor every time you put your records on the shelf? tisk tisk.

harryq
I don't know if anything will happen to the records themselves, but I don't like it. I put empty mailers and those cardboard squares on my shelf to help keep everything upright. these also serve as placeholders of records I've got on pre-order

robotfactory
People are going to tell you in matters. However, they "lean" for years in record stores and are typically just fine. Many people only fill their expedit holes partially and leave the records leaning on purpose. With that said, I don't let mine lean.

Guest
Elbows up, side to side. This is what I came to post... I don't mind a little lean action, but I am also not nearly as anal as most people around here.

hipsterasfolk
Best way to make sure they don't lean is stacking them on top one another. YesPlease, cbbrew22, Brock N Roll and 1 other
radiatorhums
I have the ones that are in my listening rotation or haven't been organized yet lean, but I try to keep the rest of them as vertical as possible. I'm usually more concerned about having them packed too tightly on the shelves.

YesPlease
I immediately frame all my records so I don't have thus conundrum. Framing really does help keep the records in M or NM condition for much much longer!! Rather than letting them possibly lean and be subject to forces of the outside world.
