The orders are fulfilled through their retail stores, so whether or not a record is packaged properly is up to a retail employee that likely makes minimum wage, though my understanding is their employees are instructed to use proper LP mailers (which my orders almost always arrive in). There is also some confusion in regards to sending out CDs vs. vinyl, though usually with used items. That being said, I have ordered somewhere around 20 records from them, including one that arrived last week. Once or twice they arrived in a large box, and once they sent me a CD. Their customer service was very helpful in processing a return & refund for the CD. The records sent in a large box were not damaged, so I did not bother returning them. I do not hesitate to order from them if they have something hard to find or at a good price. i recently ordered 2 records from them. I ended up getting a CD and the second one never showed up! They typically have the goods and Black Friday isn't too crowded historically. If you want something you have to paypal up front and if I've never sold to you it has to be as a gift. I've gone thru Strictly Discs pretty much exclusively for the last 2+ years and they have always told me before the day of what I would not be getting. They didn't charge the card until they shipped, too. The only downside is that I usually get the records the week after the Friday or Saturday so you have to wait 3-4 days for them. Thanks for the info. This is my first preorder attempt as I'll be in a car on the way to the inlaws on rsd for the first time ever. At least this way I'll know what to beg my friends to pick up for me. I don't mind the wait as I won't be back home till Saturday anyway.
