ginandtonic77
I can't believe they stuck a sticker on the jacket in the first place, but I love that it's a cheap transparent sticky piece of crap sticker that won't peel off cleanly. I wonder if you could steam the sticker off like you can do with stamps?

BWALL
i'm really confused by the last few posts. by the way, anybody got black yet? I think black copies are the second wave of this press, every site that has them are still taking pre-orders. src says it wont ship until NOV 28th. deafening
Who are YOU calling flipper scum? My thoughts exactly. That took a real confusing turn, so I left it alone.
pushbacktosquare
The Clear /2500 variant is still available via Banquet but, ouch - $59.00 USD after shipping. Fuck. Is it safe to say that these will pop up at record stores soon? I'd rather pick this up somewhere local, even if it means settling for the Black variant. pushbacktosquare
Also, just called Fingerprints in Long Beach. They said they have a release date for the 12th and it's $45.00 for them to order it to the store and they will retail for $55.00. Fuck. This. is. Annoying. Ugh. jhulud
This thread thanks to this release thanks to this fuckin' band and this fuckin' reissue/repress is all kinds of ridiculous. Just sayin'. And I do have a dog in this race. Waiting on red copy from somewhere.

agreetodisagree
My copy from Record Shop X shipped. No confirmation, just changed to shipped in my order status. Patiently awaiting copy #666/666.
filthyrich
Got this and the TOTD on purple on the same day... from different sites. Go figure. Negatives: --That damn sticker, especially since it has the MOVLP791 number to boot. The fact that no one thought to put the sticker on the OUTSIDE SLEEVE is just mind-blowing. --Lack of gatefold. I'm assuming the original TRC press was a gatefold? Positives: --Printed inner sleeves. Much better packaging than the CD version. So did the original press have plain sleeves and all the info inside the gatefold? --Red marbled vinyl. Dear God these records are GORGEOUS. I've seen pics from others that look kinda blah, but the actual vinyl is a deep blood red with black streaks. One of the nicest color presses I own, and aesthetically, it fits the album artwork perfectly... Much better than most of the earlier presses. (Blue? Orange?!?) TBD: --Sound quality. Because I just got home and it's already late and I'm tired, and this record NEEDS to be played loud. So hopefully tomorrow.....
David The Gnome
I'm reaaaal excited for when someone receives a copy numbered higher than 666. futures, chamb117 and Princess Logan
agreetodisagree
I'm reaaaal excited for when someone receives a copy numbered higher than 666. Let me get an unnumbered copy. I'd write in 666 so fast.
filthyrich
For what it's worth, I do dig the foil-stamped numbering... Based on my collection, only MoFi and MOV seem to do it that way. (Tonefloat sold numbered copies for the Porcupine Tree records... with the numbering as a sticker on the SHRINK WRAP. Kind of defeating the purpose?....) I'm assuming the TC and AFS presses weren't numbered, but the pressing quantities were simply publicized?
David The Gnome
I think one thing that gets lost in the madness that this thread is is that this album is sofa king good. edit: UNAUTHORIZED BOOTLEG
filthyrich
And yeah, the lack of gatefold must be a UK thing. Temple Of The Dog has the same problem. And you know what's worse? TRIPLE vinyl with no gatefold. That said, if you're a Clash fan at all, I highly recommend the new 3LP set (Hits Back) that just came out... despite the lack of gatefold. (Nice red vinyl for the U.S. press too.)

Daniel Dopp
I just got mine in the mail from SRC... clear. Was hoping that it was red when I saw the LIMITED EDITION COLOURED VINYL sticker. Totally got my hopes up.

searos
Got my clear. Just glad to have it. Testing the sound tomorrow. At a concert tonight. Glad this was even repressed as ebay prices were madness.
