All of the profit comes from t shirts and all the other crap in the store. I don't know if this is even true, or if this holds true now that vinyl is a big seller for them. They buy the records from us or our distributor at x price, and then sell for more. Beyond that who knows, but I don't see how they could be losing money. Your Graduation is so good, and I really enjoy Apartment. But everything else just seems so meh. I've listened to the whole album about three times and it just hasn't grabbed me. The price kills it for me. the only justification for that price point would be if hot topic does have an exclusive green/white variant that is different from the one RFC was selling. if this is just the variant that was up for presale at RFC then that is just ridiculous. especially considering interpunk has it for $9.25 before shipping. I'm not sure it is. It might be. I'm pretty sure the recent Run For Cover press of The Transit album Keep This To Yourself Hot Topic listed it as an exclusive red. People who bought it said it was the exact same variant as the one Run For Cover had for sale. I listened to this whole record for the first time yesterday and that song immediately caught my attention. I can see myself liking this as much as Sports, once I learn some lyrics.
