3LP and Cherry Tree exclusive came in today. Few notes:
- 3LP includes a poster that the CT version does not
- The brush stroke detail on the jacket is embossed and glossy on the CT version, but not the 3LP
- F-side etching on the 3LP is boring
- Download codes aren't active until Friday and do not include the score

paul/mansun's social channels just posted a short clip showing the various variants. looks like the colored variants are translucent. look very nice but i think with the green i would prefer the opaque. i'm so excited this is finally in my hands in a week or so.

Not sure if it's been posted yet, but Amoeba has the 3LP for $45.98 free ship, with the MAR15 code, it comes to $39.08 shipped. Cheapest I've seen it.

Your first mistake was asking a bunch of snarky collectors if you should get involved in the hobby. 
 
Honestly, I’m not sure what response you would expect here because obviously we all enjoy buying records. Stuff is pressed and repressed constantly, especially now. As far as your musical tastes they’re completely irrelevant because practically everything under the sun is available on vinyl. 
 
All in all its an expensive hobby so if you’re willing to invest the money and time to actually listen to what you buy than of course you should dabble. You’ll get out of it as much or as little as you want and put in. There are setups for every budget, do some research and get what you can afford. But as someone mentioned above don’t buy that crosley crap. 

When you are looking for a turntable, don't buy a Crosley.

Received the coloured box from Amazon and its a nice set, also (probably unintended) the latest LP fits nicely in the box!
 
A stupidly good deal if you didn't already have every album! Sold my copy of the 1st LP and selling my standalone coloured version of Dog Man Star so its a steal. 

This is a bummer, love all of Deerhunter’s discog but those records / shows with Josh were something special.
