Yeah I'm just now seeing this as well and it does appear to be sold out.

Very interesting topic that I'll bite on.
Started collecting in earnest around 2009 - 2010, was on dead format before here, which was a helpful community. VC is as well.
Anyway, around 1500+ in the collection, with a bulk buy or two in the wings for further sifting. Mostly crap I don't want much. Last year I gained the luxury of space, which is a big deal with records, as we all know. Was living in a NYC apartment and hadn't much more room for the collection. Family and I moved out of the apt and bought a house in another state, with a room I could have all the records in without an issue. Before the move last summer I stumbled across this article (https://blog.discogs.com/en/listen-to-your-record-collection-a-to-z/) on discogs about listening to your collection alphabetically from A-Z. I found it pretty intriguing and had planned on doing it when the year started. January 1 came around I was hesitant to start, but I finally did on 1/4 and it has been great so far.

For me doing this serves the purpose of five things:
    1. Further organizing and alphabetizing
    2. Editing out pieces I may no longer want
    3. Listing the above on discogs or elsewhere to sell
    4. Seeing what needs cleaning and new inner sleeves.
    5. Cracking open a few sealed pieces I've been sitting on for too long

When we were moving, as I was packing the records (not fun!!) I was able to organize and did much more cataloging on discogs, but even now I'm finding things I didn't know I had. I also work from home (until my NYC company says we have to be back in the office, then who knows), so am able to listen at least 6-7 hours a day, so hopefully by years end, I'll have finished. I do make exception for listening outside of the A-Z and jazz is one of the those, as well as new stuff I get, just to make sure the copy is okay, etc. But yeah, it's fun and a slog some days. Slog being when I get to LZ II that I have about twenty copies of or Bob Dylan, who I'm not the biggest fan of, but felt compelled to buy some here and there and now there are about thirty Dylan records to get through. If I desperately need to hear something, I'll resort to a CD or streaming, again outside of the A-Z. I'll check in late in the year and see if this was worth the effort.

    Bryston 5B ST (curb find!)
Couple of Nakamichi cassette decks in the wings, waiting to get sorted.

The Bryston is a crazy random find. When I first moved to Brooklyn around 2010, my wife and I were walking in our neighborhood that has some pretty sweet $$ brownstones and I happen to see this on the curb and was stunned to say the least. It was also trash day, so someone must have been tossing this! Felt I knew the name at the time, but it was still well worth hauling the block home and researching the piece. It has some heft to it! Turns out the company has a crazy no questions asked 20 year warranty on all their stuff. It still had a few years left on the warranty, so got in contact with them, sent it to their US repair center in VT and had it sorted. There really wasn't anything wrong with it and it cost me like $80 to send and get checked out. It was the basis of my stereo and has been ever since. It's a tank!

The pre-amp that I had before the Mcintosh, which was a 70's Rotel piece, was also a curb find.

Antenna is an interesting turning point in Cave In's discography. At the time it came out, it turned off a lot of old fans because the record was trying very hard to appeal to a wider audience. Because that's what you're supposed to do when you are on a major label. It was supposed to be Cave In's Glow On--they did a late show appearance, they played festivals, they released singles. But then when record sales didn't meet the label's expectations, they got dropped like a hot potato. (At that time, selling 100K units was considered a failure I guess. I remember that number being bandied about.) And it seemed like the band went through a phase of real disillusionment and took a while to recover artistically. Long story short, it was a disappointment.

But here's the thing--Antenna really *is* a great record. Sure, there's a lot of streamlined verse-chorus-verse songwriting by old Cave In standards, but it also has a lot of great hooks. Joy Opposites and Youth Overrided alone make it worthwhile digging into this thing. I don't think that all of Cave In's discography is equally worth celebrating. Naturally there've been some relative duds. There are some songs on Antenna that I feel pretty lukewarm about. But I've definitely come around big time to Antenna as a whole and it's cool to see that this is very much a shared sentiment these days.

Buyers have to pay local taxes on all discogs orders. Been there for at least a year, can't remember the exact date they started it.

I'll never forget when I found that album and what it helped me through.  I cannot wait for the new record.

Received the Coke Bottle Clear yesterday. Nice packaging. Trifold with a disc in each section. The vinyl looks great. One has a bit of white smoke through it. Super clear and clean sounding vinyl. Nice all around. Worth the wait.
