Submitted. As a UX designer myself I know it can be hard to get candid feedback form the appropriate demographic - happy to help and good luck.

the traditional and most effective solution is a shelf.   Particularly if you live in an older place with wood floors, all the anti vibration doodads in the world may not solve the issue.

I don't think I've posted here before but my modest setup is below. I built the record cabinet about 3 years ago when I had ~400 records but I'm already running out of room. Also, I live in a tiny apartment so I don't have any other options for speaker placement - I know they're too tucked into the wall.

DS dropped a surprise record last weekend and it's a banger of an EP.  Looks like a fairly limited pressing (500) according to BSM
    - 200/ Blue/Black/Cream Starburst (BSM webstore exclusive)

I just had to file a claim with SRC because they legit just stopped responding. I ordered the TIN pressing from them back in April. After the release date came and went with no record I reached out - the first email they did respond to, but basically it was just a snarky email that told me to "just relax, it's coming"... but also, how about some communication? Basic principles of customer service? Fast forward to now, a month and a half after the August 16 shipping date - the record is now backordered, and I have seen/heard nothing... and now no response from the company whatsoever.

Lesson learned - avoid SRC at all costs - I just want my got dam HUM LP!

On the opposite side of the fence, I feel like everything from DSU forward has been an eclectic array of gem-filled albums. I love all four of his last releases because although he has a certain distinguishable voice/sound, he definitely packs each album with seemingly disconnected styles that end up sounding really great together. I think I love each song on Beach Music, for example. Hell, I like most songs on all of his albums. This new one took a few listens, but when it hits it HITS.

They may’ve tightened up their ability to perform forgettable material in a live setting, but from a songwriting and compositional standpoint they are a shadow of what they used to be, if you ask me.  Close your eyes and revisit a time where they dropped January 10th, 2014 as a single one morning.  What a tragic timeline for these guys.

I felt the exact same way. And if they pressed more than 500 I would have waited. But it is nostalgic and the translucent green variant is cool.

Coming in way late to say 'plus fucking one' for Tubelord. Math or not, their early EPs rip so hard (I am Azzerad, Feed Me a Box of Words, and even the Tellison split - a lot of which are compiled on Vinyl for "Pop Songs for Rock Kids") and they combine pop leanings with really technically proficient instrumentation in a majorly enjoyable way.

I'll also present a "maybe" with a great Topshelf throwback on Duck. Little Brother, Duck! Their LP Don't Take Our Filth Away is like an arranged marriage between post-hardcore and mathy emo, even bordering on screamo elements at times.

I've been beat to so many good ones: +1 for Piglet, Totorro is also an underrated band - Home Alone is a flawless album. I'd also say check out Floral for some newer instrumental mathy-ness. Also, this may be a debated statement but if you're looking to ease in to the Don Cab kind of stuff, Pele (Tnahpele) - Elephant is amazing and hints at some of the same song dynamics/structures though not explicitly "math".

Tera Melos gets my biggest stamp of approval though, their EP Drugs to the Dear Youth is one of the albums that really pulled me into the genre, though I'm not as wild about their latest effort everything they put out before it is fantastic!
