Formed in Toulouse in 2005, the french quartet never ceased to feed its insatiable appetite for dissonance and bleakness, slowly morphing from their former noisy, metallic hardcore to what could be the ultimate blend of black metal, sludge and noise. On the heels of their acclaimed 2014 album «Lowgazers» and after countless shows in North America, India and Europe that forged their new rhythmical section, the band returned to Amaury Sauvé’s The Apiary studio during december 2015 to prove that their previous body of work was just a ladder to something even more suffocating. «False Highs, True Lows» is PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND’s most accomplished effort to date; with guitars ranging between dry-heaving riffs, light-speed melodies and crushing sludgier parts, a terrifying, surgically savage drum performance full of maniacal blasts beats and martial rhythms, and the most angst-ridden vocal performance since the invention of waterboarding. Despite the fact that the record was tracked live and no matter how organic the spectacular production job sounds, everything seems barely played by humans. We released this EP last year on cassette but it's way too good to just live in that media. Pick up The Branches of Suffering on color vinyl now. We have 50 with limited preorder covers available. There are two different designs of preorder/limited covers which will be randomly selected. If you pick up two, we will try to get you one of each. If you buy one with the preorder cover you will still get the regular art as well. All vinyl is color but we aren't sure what color, it will be a surprise. We changed the art from the tape release and went all out with the packaging. These will have 7" glue pocket jackets - reverse board matte printing with a nice thick matte two sided insert and pressed on color vinyl. We should have the vinyl, covers, and inserts next week. "Bayonne-based quintet THE RODEO IDIOT ENGINE have been nothing but unstoppable since their very first steps in 2009, tirelessly sculpting a signature sound torn between the most abrasive sides of chaotic hardcore, post-metal or screamo. After gaining a growing reputation all over Europe due to their 250 staggering, seizure-inducing live shows, the band returned to Amaury Sauvé's studio in Laval during summer 2015 to track «Malaise», their third full-length and follow-up to 2013's «Consequences». While most acts tend to soften with age, the band's work has only become darker over the years. Opener "Le Parfum" sets the tone, with merciless, spasmodic rhythms morphing into bleak, slow-paced heaviness and emotionally-charged vocals screamed to the breaking point. With this project in the works for well over a year, Grave Mistake Records and Triple B Records could not be more thrilled to present you with the twenty track Complete Discography LP from Virginia's IRON BOOTS. The LP (available on limited color vinyl) along with several Iron Boots T-shirt reprints, is now available for Preorder through the labels' respective webstores, and will begin shipping in early October! Compiling all of the band's output during their brief existance, this collection contains all of the material from their 2004 Demo, Weight of the World 7", Easy Green 7", and tracks from the Generations: A Hardcore Compilation on Revelation Records. All of the audio has been remastered by the wonderful Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory, and features killer packaging which includes brand new cover art done by the one and only Spoiler, a printed inner sleeve featuring some additional reprinted original Iron Boots artwork, and a huge 24x24" double sided Poster lyric sheet! We also pressed up two limited vinyl colors - Blue Vinyl (out of 170) and Orange Vinyl (out of 225). The vinyl comes with a Download featuring a digitally remastered version of the collection as well. In addition to the vinyl reissue, we also reprinted two Iron Boots shirt designs, one featuring an early shirt design done by Spoiler (also used on later pressings of their Demo 7"), and a killer pocket print double-sided t-shirt as well. For the uninitiated, IRON BOOTS hailed from in Virginia Beach, VA and were most active from 2004-2006 before playing their final show in Richmond in 2008. With their hi-impact, fuck-your-attitude delivery and NYHC influenced songwriting (open your eyes, they sounded exactly like WARZONE, and wore that label proudly), the Boots were one of few contemporary hardcore bands that were able to take influence from classic hardcore punk and successfully make it their own. Along with bands like Down to Nothing, Bracewar, Victim and Wasted Time, Iron Boots were the crew that was key in solidifying Richmond / Virginia Beach as a relevant and vital Hardcore scene during the mid-00's. In their short career, Iron Boots managed to churn out an impressive catalog - an eight song demo, two 7" EPs, and two tracks for a Revelation Records compilation - all of which are featured on this release. Always remembering to keep the faith, Iron Boots took pride in maintaining a classic "If it ain't broke don't fix it" approach to hardcore in both songwriting and aesthetic. The end result being, as proven on this reissue, a timeless recorded and visual output that still maintains a fresh and vital feel more than a decade later. IRON BOOTS Complete Discography LP will be out officially on October 6th, and preorders will begin shipping that week as well!
