Gumbo72203
Anyone wanna throw out top 10 BM lists? I'd love to hear what everyones all time favs are. Mine is going to be heavily skewed to releases from the 90's/2000's because that's when I most listened to black metal. But here goes: Immortal - At The Heart of Winter Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness Darkthrone - A Blaze In The Northern Sky Grue - Casualties of the Psychic War Deafheaven - Sunbather Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant Old Man's Child - In Defiance of Existence Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta II/III Horna - Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua If you guys don't know Grue, they're an outfit from Boston that I just CANNOT get enough of. The riffs, the atmosphere, the badass-ness, and the darkness... check it out:

jerseydave77
My intern referred me to Grift "Syner". She is way into it and I think it's solid and worth a few listens. She's also into Deafheaven and I like making fun of their haircuts.

Neanderthal
The mid-to-late-2000's output of Leviathan & Xasthur (+ their split) have been doing me great lately. Such infectious music. blessedxcursed
Eliminator Jr.
I made use of the (now properly working) search function and couldn't find a sign of anyone talking about this, so here I go: Fuath. I | Neuropa 2016 | LP release coming soon Bandcamp: https://fuath.bandcamp.com/ Buy CD (vinyl to come): http://www.neuroparecords.com/products.php?NRP58 This is yet another one-man-project in the realm of modern atmospheric, tremolo-heavy black metal. Before going solo this guy made two highly memorable albums under the name Saor, which had more of a folkish touch. That's gone now, and I think he's better off without it. Think late Panopticon and a little early WITTR mixed up with the weird bleakness of last years Akhlys. Highly recommended.
