kamalatapes
RIP, I wasn't actively listening to them as a kid but the older guys that looked over me loved them. To say they were HUGE here in San Diego is an understatement remember hearing STP countless times on the radio

Tardcore
Junkie. Not a surprise at all. He was a talented guy though, too bad he couldn't get his shit together.

ntslash
Fuck this. Scott was always my favorite frontman. But I knew one day I'd wake up and see this story as a footnote somewhere. RIP, Scott.
GermyHewmatt
He was an awesome front man and songwriter with STP. My brother and I saw them back in the day on the Tiny Music tour. That's my favorite album of theirs. This is sad to hear. hzielaskowski

morfiend
I'm also not surprised but disappointed nonetheless. Purple and Core were 2 of the best albums to come out of the 90's.
futures
I was convinced he died years ago and was replaced. billy shears laughs in the distance but seriously this sucks. i saw VR once (on 12/3/04 which is kind of weird) and they sounded great. saw STP a few years back and they didn't sound so great. i grew up listening to his bands so this makes me sad regardless of his history with substance abuse. =\ i always felt a connection with STP bc the deleo brothers went to my high school. the guidance counselors office had this huge autographed STP poster hanging in there. 14 year old me thought it was so cool to look at. GHOSTDRONES
http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/04/entertainment/scott-weiland-stone-temple-pilots-death/index.html In talking of reuniting with both Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver... "...those dreams died on a tour bus in Minnesota. " Poetic, apropos, but cold as shit close to a death notice.

hzielaskowski
With his lifestyle I would say that he made far enough. I was listening to "Tiny Music" last week and this record rules. Sorry to see him gone now.
