WAXWORKS RECORDS Official Mega-Thread

Forgive my ignorance, but was the picture disc the most limited variant? Don't get me wrong, it looks cool and all, but seems strange that the worst sounding one was the most sought after.

Yeah, did we ever find out the pressing numbers on these? I went for the swirl by choice as I don't care for pic discs and I didn't find the splatter very appealing personally.

does anyones tracking number still only say "printed"  mines been like this for over a week

At least you have a number/some sort of acknowledgement? Still radio silence for me. Never replied to my email about if it would be out before Halloween, and by the looks of it, it's not happening.

Back when I thought it was only going to be a picture disc, I decided not to buy the soundtrack. The other two variants that came out are much better. I've always hated picture discs, even when I was a kid.

I mean, it's not like the blood-filled Friday the 13th was the best sounding version either.

Yeah, but that is a way more unique record than a picture disc and I can understand the draw there. If I had the chance to buy that one for cost I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I'd be fooling myself if I said it would ever come near my stylus for actual playback. It's a complete novelty. A picture disc, however...

Why would you not play the liquid filled? I played my LF jack White 12" several times. Sounds just fine....basically just a record on clear vinyl.

It's two separate pieces of vinyl, molded together with something placed in between them, the same concept as a picture disc. So it's technically not the same as a regular clear record. None of which will contribute in any way to giving off better sound quality...

My main concerns would be leaking and weight distribution of a moving object inside the record as it spins on the turntable. Like I said, they look awesome and would be cool to own, but only for sheer novelty imho.

Have you contacted them?

Still nothing on the blood-filled either for me. When I emailed them again last week I was told:

Thanks for reaching out about the blood filled record. We are shipping out more units this week. Apologies for the delay. Creating the blood filled records is extremely time sensitive and tedious, and we are making sure they are perfect for the customers who grabbed them. Please stay patient, as we are getting the rest of blood orders out ASAP

I can't tell if my annoyance at this is just me being impatient, or it really is ridiculous that it seems like they're sending out the blood-filled 1 a week or something.
