Think these are fake Matt? A few people on head-fi said they are legit, but only 2 people said that. Seems awfully cheap... even though retail in China is only like $16USD.

Found the Pistons v3 thread, and a lot of people recommend the site, so looks like I'll be ordering.

Oh damn. Well that's a really great price if they're legit. Cause the real ones usually for about $30.

I guess they dropped the price when they put out another earbud.

Just got home from a 5 hour training for work today, now I'm folding & putting away laundry, and going through my 7" collection. Trying to get them organized into different boxes according to speed. Since it's a minor pain in the ass to change speeds on my Carbon (until I pick up a Speedbox) I figure it'll be easier to have the 45's all grouped together, and the 33.3's on their own as well, so I can just pick out a few based on whatever speed my turntable is set at for the time being.

I listened to Nirvana too much like a year and a half to two years ago, and got sick of it, so I shelved them for a bit. I'm finally able to listen to them again, I've found, and I've been playing In Utero all week.

I listened to them WAY too much from the mid 90s until about 2003. Couldn't listen to them again until about a year ago. Now I listen to them at least once a week.

You can tell it's old because neither of us is holding a phone but that motherfucker has a digital camera.

Truth. It is weird to think that's what we used to have to do.

Alright, I'm getting all the supplies together to swap a solid state drive into my iPod Video. I can grab a brand new Samsung 256GB drive from Amazon for $90, or get a used one pulled from a Lenovo laptop from a computer supplier for $70 from Ebay. Any risks I should know about? Are there any fundamental differences in a drive that came in a laptop vs. a new one you would buy to swap in?

Here are the drives

I'd spend the extra to get a new one. SSD's have a read/write limit. Granted, it is quite high and most people won't hit it, but it's better safe then sorry. Plus Samsung SSDs are some of the best ones.

Edit: Just noticed both are Samsung... go new, just in case of issues, since you'll have a nice warranty on it.
