I can grab a brand new Samsung 256GB drive from Amazon for $90, or get a used one pulled from a Lenovo laptop from a computer supplier for $70 from Ebay. Any risks I should know about? Are there any fundamental differences in a drive that came in a laptop vs. a new one you would buy to swap in? Granted, it is quite high and most people won't hit it, but it's better safe then sorry. Plus Samsung SSDs are some of the best ones. Edit: Just noticed both are Samsung... go new, just in case of issues, since you'll have a nice warranty on it. Thanks for the input. I guess $20 is worth it for the assurance/warranty.
