I've worked quite a few jobs that don't do holiday pay. My last position was rad. If you worked a holiday, you'd get 1.5x pay and enough PTO time for a day off. My on call is lumped in with my salary, so I don't make any more if I get calls. I usually just show up late the next day if I'm stuck working late.
