I don't know which is the best as I didn't pay enough attention to the thread and have yet to pick up the vinyl version. I've had a promo copy of the CD since back when it hit but never got around to grabbing the record. I'm not getting the current picture disc. You can still grab non-picture copies of it on eBay. I did just last week. Mine is a terrible color and I did spin it for the first 3 or 4 tracks but I think I was too tired to judge whether it sounded good or awful or anything in between. My impression was that is sounded dry. Not sure how to explain that but that was what I got from it. I'll try it again and let you know. I already know that other copies are pretty easy to obtain through the usual suspects (eBay, Discogs) but I've heard bad things about them.
