I grew up watching the originals and still hold them in extremely high regard. That being said, I enjoyed the 2013 remake a lot. I felt that it stayed faithful enough to the originals, while still being it's own film. I'd recommend going into it with a fairly open mind and it's a fun watch. Far better than all the 'found footage' garbage that's become the new trend in horror movies. Also, Jane Levy is a babe, so that doesn't hurt. I don't remember the score at all and I've watched the film twice. I'll have to check it out before I think about ordering. I do love the locked groove for extended horror idea quite a bit.
