jhook
The document posted on that site says "Violation date: 4/14/11". I really hope the band didn't know about this beforehand. I bet they knew something was up. That's why they didn't boot him until he was formally charged.

chefchino
I really wish I knew this from the start. So many misguided feelings against the band when they kicked him out.
Guest
someone on facebook posted about this and one of the comments was from a girl talking about how she hated having to hang signs backstage stating the legal age of whatever state the venue is in. sad. nfgsk8er18
So utterly disheartening...... Never in a million years would I have thought Steve would have been that type of person...... *barf*

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can you link it? UGH WHY?? why are people so fucking fascinated/interested with digging into shitty things shitty people do? Leave it for the courts, its all PUBLIC RECORD, anyone can say anything on facebook, making claims like that, theres no way to know if any of that actually happened (posting of signs, clearly if there are charges against this guy there IS proof of it actually happening)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and if the band knew, or had any idea if this was happening for years and didnt kick him out until he was formally charged they can go fuck off. WAITING years for charges while playing shows with him during that span before ACTUALLY KICKIGN HIM OUT is MESSED UP.

TheWindBlower
Well, this is a hell of a reason to kick someone out. I'm in the same boat with Mike T. If the band new and didn't kick him out, that's really messed up. I'm a fan of NFG, so I truly hope that's not the case. Didn't Steve write most of the lyrics too? Kind of makes me rethink some of their stuff...
dethrock
Not to make too might light of the situation because if he actually did this stuff it's absolutely horrible, but I saw this on Punknews and it made me laugh. agaetisbyrjun
UPDATE 4:45 p.m. EST: Here's what we know so far: All counts levied against Klein are felonies. If convicted, here's how many years Klein could face: 2 counts of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 14 — 3, 6 or 8 years per count (state prison) 3 counts of lewd conduct with a minor 14 or 15 — 1, 2 or 3 years per count (state prison) or not more than 1 year per count (county jail) 1 count of intent to commit lewd acts with a minor — sentence varies 1 count of possession of child pornography — up to 1 year (state prison or county jail) and/or a $2,500 fine Worst-case scenario, if Klein is found guilty of all charges, he could go to prison for somewhere in the neighborhood of 27 years. As of right now, Stephen Klein is not a registered sex offender, according to California's "Megan's Law" database. Klein was married through at least January 2012, although a search through San Luis Obispo County's records finds a lis pendens (Latin for pending lawsuit regarding property ownership) filed on Sept. 21, 2012, against him by Amanda Klein, his wife. She now goes by the name Amanda Mcculloch; it is unclear whether the couple is divorced or separated. The court document above notes April 14, 2011 as the date of the violation (whether this means one or all violations is unclear); AP can confirm that on April 14, 2011, Klein was publicly documented as bowling with his two daughters. His whereabouts after that are unknown. The next day, he flew to Hartford, Connecticut, for a New Found Glory show on April 16. http://www.altpress.com/index.php/news/entry/steve_klein_ex_new_found_glory_arraigned_on_child_pornography_lewd_conduct
