I mean, I do remember someone in here before mentioning that they were told they have no replacements, which is crazy but whatever.  To not offer any kind of compensation whatsoever is a little fucked up though.

A lot of peoples boxes arrived fucked up in the US alone, can’t imagine how any of them in other countries survived the trip

He didn't say they didn't offer any compensation. Just no replacement or "full refund". I want to see what constitutes a full refund and not the partial one they no doubt offered that was conveniently left out of this post.

I feel like she's taking advantage of her fans by doing this - knowing that they'll drop 100s of dollars every time.

Almost as if all pop(ular) music is carefully constructed to do exactly this. There has never been any real emotion in Taylor's music and I think the whole "hueh hueh I r metal guy who lieks Taylor aren't I quirky?" deal was the fucking strangest happy coincidence for her and her management.

We should make showers the next quirky weird thing to fuck the man. Until they get too popular of course.

I just joined interscope Vinyl collective subscription in Jan. January’s record for the interscope vinyl collective.
product is Juice WRLD - "Goodbye & Good Riddance" IVC Edition. I received a used copy! Is this normal? Is it supposed to be a used vinyl? $48. 38 a month is a lot for a used copy.  I’m hoping they made a mistake.. The limited edition factor is what attracted me to this service. If I knew it was used I would not have joined.

Sounds like my experience joining your mom

  5. I like the album after 3 spins but it's still a disappointment (I have the subscription variant too :/)

(The new one was not worth sampling.)

I misread your post, and hope you actually meant that the vocals are way too high in the mix.  From cautiously curious to absolute nope in about 30 seconds.

Man the vocals are basically peering up from the bottom of the ocean they're so murky. It's super noticeable if you're used to the first album.

I've got no issue with re-recording albums live in studio to better represent the way they're played live. It's decidedly labeled a live album, so there's really nothing about it intended to "replace" the classic.

w/r/t re-recorded albums better than the original: I disagree wholeheartedly with this take as a former obsessive diehard w/ the 2010-2014 Car Seat Headrest, but the predominant opinion about Twin Fantasy favors its 2018 version.

I think bedroom 4 track recording -> studio recording is perfectly acceptable and agree that album is better in its re-recorded state.

  7. I continued finding new genres/sounds I enjoy so music is as interesting as ever and I'm excited over new records in the mail just about every other day. I've never been a variant hoarder or obsessed with gimmick releases for TV/Movies I like so I'll never have that day where I look at my records with regret. I feel like a lot of you can't let go of your youth through your music taste and it's really not doing you any good. You dress like an adult now so why would a new Blink or Green Day release be mentally exciting? It's impossible and forced unless your brain just stopped developing. Accept it and explore something else, music is endless.

Random question for owners of the Black Friday version: someone commented on my rip of the reissue saying the BF version is slightly off-pitch/speed. Is there truth to that or is it just someone with a shitty turntable?

You're just about guaranteed to be talking to someone with a shitty turntable and 11 records in their collection when it's about an album this popular. It's not off speed.
