Just got confirmation from Artist First that the white vinyl was limited to 500 copies

So you can still order the white from the States? Not really an Australian exclusive then is it?

Love it, like it, or hate it.  This album is exactly what I expected.  I really liked The Suburbs and then Reflektor came as somewhat of a shock to me, but it really grew on me and seeing them on that tour cemented it.  You could tell at that point they were moving in a different direction and the singles released beforehand represent the album fairly.  Again, just as I expected.  I like it.  Yes Funeral is an excellent album, but it came out 13 years ago.  Shit 13 years ago I was in high school, things change.  It's cliche, but we live in a different world now.  

Struggling to decide whether the deluxe would be worth it... still no mention of better packaging, half-speed master or any other gimmicks. It's definitely not worth it for the bonus tracks. I mean, 2 remixes. C'mon now!

This box set release has got me a little confused....
so it comes with a 7" that features 2 tracks that are on the album anyways?
The 12" features two versions of a song that's on the album anyways too?
This just doesn't make sense to me... why?????? why have the same songs that are on the album??

We're all a little to blame for this.

It's not that people have a problem with your opinion. That's cool if you aren't into their dancier sound. It's the assumption that this is generally accepted as a bad move for them. Clearly Reflektor resonated with a bigger audience for them, and they are pushing that change. 
 
Its it's not working for you and that sucks that you don't love them as much as you did. But they only dropped off for you. Their career trajectory may still be going up. 

I know it's a petty, stupid thing...but the album is called "Boxer" not "The Boxer."

Got shipping confirmation for the signed LP and Test pressing. They obvioulsy didn't have a problem with me using a VPN and sending to Australia 

You do realize that's PPD pricing you're referring to, and for a double LP, bonus 12", 7", and booklet all housed in a box case, right?  There are cheaper options if you didn't feel like gunning for the extras, but your post almost suggests that you're upset over a forced price point for one avenue when that's not really the case.  Like if I was skimming the thread without reading posts above, your reply would make me think there's just a single PO on the site for $46 + shipping.
 
If there aren't going to be indie variants, I'm sure Bull Moose will stock standard copies for cheap.

Just ordered this the other day, found out about her last week, absolutely in love with her music! Hopefully she'll release her debutalbum in the next year or so!
