mike got a reaction from ethanpricington in PO: Green Day- Saviors (1/19/24)
That song has a bridge (the “don’t panic” section). Unless you’re using bridge in the old pre-chorus sense, in which case… it has that too. Does it twice before it gets to the first chorus. (Though I’ll say the ending is a little abrupt. Could have probably used a little tag / outro at the end.)
I’ve been kinda surprised by the intenseness of the negativity to these. They’re the only songs of theirs I’ve been able to listen to more than once (if even in full) since American Idiot (and that was even only some songs). 🤷🏻♂️ I don’t mind them…

Got these racks when all the Hastings were going out of business. I also have a fourth one that I use mostly for zines, but a couple of the drawers on that one have also been taken over by records... Front flip forever!

mike got a reaction from scottheisel in i'd like to press vinyl, what pressing companies provide good product?
They absolutely will license it without telling you (Dreamworks is long gone and the UMG catalog dept is people you've likely never met just working the company's product. You might get lucky and have someone there who thinks "it would be cool to have the band involved," but a lot of times that doesn't happen). And the royalties would still be administered by UMG, coming from the licensing fee they took from ETR, so check your statements with them.

mike got a reaction from esbe in SOLD OUT: Weakerthans - Left And Leaving (clear /250) and Reconstruction Site (red /300)
Got both L&L's and it's weird, they're two totally different pressings. The color of the artwork is different shades, different plates, the BV one has an inner sleeve for the first LP (which is just the same artwork that's in the gatefold), the jackets are different thicknesses... The matrix of the BV one doesn't match any previous pressings, but the SP one is the same as a black press that someone put up on Discogs a few years ago, so I'm guessing these might have been pressed then and they just sat on them for some reason... Pointless and nerdy observations, but hey, that's what we're here for, right?

Huh? I don’t think you’re doing it right then (but if you’ve got a VPI I guess it doesn’t matter).
