Waters
Didn't see this posted anywhere- but sounds pretty cool. Volcano Choir and Mark Kozalek LP's only available through this project- oh, and test pressings available pretty reasonably (I think)- https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/project-carousel

Where you seeing that price? I'm in for the Volcano Choir package - loved Unmap and can't wait to see what Justin does with the organ for the "Sound" 12"
toomanyrecords
3500 for the kozelek light vinyl will be around for a while. I'm gonna hold off on this a bit.

I think $40 for a colored, one off, won't be available anywhere else LP is pretty good. And the test pressings are $100. Not bad I think. ExtraFox
It's flexible funding, so it will happen (or at least the amount of money raised won't be the reason it doesn't happen) however much is raised.
shamrocks
i mean its silly to say it wont be available anywhere else...i can almost guarantee these wont sell out with this indiegogo campaign. does that mean they wont be pressed anyway? doubt it
AdamBGraham
I could be mistaken, but it's not just the 3500 Kozelek record. There is a much more limited gold variant at 500 copies as part of the $60 package. I'm in for that. Though the "carousel colored vinyl" did seem pretty intriguing. Seems like a ton to press to me for a $40+ record.
AdamBGraham
Yeah, there are definitely a lot of Kozelek vinyl junkies but I don't know if there are that many Kozelek vinyl junkies. With some luck they'll sell out. It's not a bad lineup really, but far more supply than usually seen selling quickly from those artists and little possibility for flipping so we'll see how it goes. tonyfranciosa
I'm in for the Molina record and 7". Should update the title of this post though - a lot of Molina/Kozelek fans might be overlooking this. deletedunknown and jack8urt0n

booms528
I actually used to go on that carousel all the time when I was a kid. Whenever I'm back in RI visiting family, every month or two, I always drive by it. Bring little cousins there in the summer. It's a really cool, old school place. I couldn't believe it was a big enough deal to get the support of a campaign like this and get on Pitchfork and stuff. Really awesome. Vector53
Definitely going to nab the Volcano Choir $60 package. Would grab the Molina stuff but I'm not gonna pay for that.
deletedunknown
Thread title def needs artists. I overlooked it until the Jason Moina thread someone else made. Very excited for his material. May go for Kozelek if funds look good closer to the end.
ratbrain
Yeah- I can't figure out how to do that- click on "Edit" for the original post, then "Use Full Editor" and it'll give you the option to change the title still waffling over which Molina level to pick. thankfully it looks like I've got plenty of time to decide. Ron Don Volante
Anyone have any idea how much music will be on these? I really want the Volcano Choir and Mark Kozelek ones.
xxmartinxx
I'm glad there is a lot of info about carousels and almost none about the music that they're actually selling. Makes it real easy to decide if I want to buy in to this.
