suchashorttime
The LPs are both 80-90 minutes though. i know, i know. just wishful thinking.
Youinreverse
Plus 4 "unreleased" tracks from this era is what dreams are made of.Absolutely. I'm super excited to hear the other three songs.
parkinglot
I'm sorry but I love The World At Large. Nothing will compare to LCW for me, but if I listen to Good News objectively, and not as a Modest Mouse record, I still find enjoyment in about half of the tracks. nightonthesun
JoToRoBo
I remember them doing Too Many Fiesta For Ruben the show in Atlanta on Cinco De Mayo the day after I saw them in SC. Sad to have missed it. They did it in the parking lot after the show. I would have loved to see a Crazy Gnome live B-Side :-)
njpunkmusic
I now forgive MM for teasing a new album this year. These re-issues and seeing them 4 times this summer totally makes up for it. New album in 2015 hopefully!

I just see whoever mixed the record sitting there with fake devil horns laughing maniacally as they did it. I legit think Spitting Venom off We Were Dead is as good as any MM song though. njpunkmusic
To be honest, I would put We Were Dead over Good News and even Moon and Antarctica. I like the heavier and more poppy tone. I still think the singles released after We Were Dead (which than became the EP) were all pretty good too. The Whale Song is easily their best tune in a long damn time and right up there in my top 3 MM songs of all time.
distinctlydustin
Antarctica over the latter two for sure. Shelby

Highly disagree about putting We Were Dead above TM&A but also highly agree about The Whale Song. The Whale Song and Spitting Venom are the only reasons I haven't written off the band entirely. And Im sure most people would take your side over mine with TMAA.

I wouldn't mind a record of only 6+ minute tracks. Seems to be Brock at his best the longer a song gets. njpunkmusic

I tend to agree, but Trucker's Atlas is a track that I really do not care for at all.

That was probably the last track to click for me on that album, I can see where you're coming from.
radiatorhums
I need to listen to No One's First more. It came out right as I was moving and it slipped between the cracks for me. I'll have to throw it into my rotation this week.
drownmeinestrogen
Antarctica over the latter two for sure.Antarctica over all of them. Also, I think Good News is a great album. *shrugs* bathroommonkey
radiatorhums
I've liked everything they've put out. I think Good News and We Were Dead are solid albums, but they're much lower on the scale for me than the previous albums. bathroommonkey
distinctlydustin
I, too, like Good News. However, it's not Antarctica. bathroommonkey
