no Petal record again today, blarg!!! On the plus side I found someone willing to trade me another Stereolab record for the collection, I swear to god I'll never complete that collection but I'm going to try. But it's pretty overwhelming especially when most singles are alternate versions from the albums

Yo John, you looking for a turntable weight/stabilizer? I have this I'll let go for $20ppd. Saves you $8 off ebay, and it's never been used. I bought it a day or two before I upgraded my table. It's also a level and strobe (strobe is worthless in the US though, since it's for 50hz).

I've been thinking about it. More leaning toward a clamp though. What do you think?

With the project, I'd probably go with a clamp. I don't know enough about the motor on it to know if it can take the weight. This one is lighter, only like 8oz. The JA michell clamp is nice, but I didn't use it long. I bought one for warped records, but it only helps one side of them. My current table has a petty hefty weight that the manufacture included, about a 1lb or more.

I'll probably find a clamp then. I really don't have too much trouble with warped records anymore, but it'd be nice to have just in case.

It's nice having the record sitting flat, even if it's not super warped. I can't say I've noticed a sonic difference, since my new table already sounds a lot better than my old, but it's not hurting it at all.

Spinning Cap'n Jazz now, sounds so fucking good. Can't wait for my Promise Ring's to ship. Thankfully I got priority shipping on them.

I'll get that stabilizer from you at the end of next week if John isn't going to buy it T3

Cool. Someone else just messaged me asking to hold it, but I can hold it for you if you want.

Edit: Is someone on these boards Nathan Nathan on facebook? Not sure why else I'd be getting a friend request from someone in Indiana.
