On the 31st we'll tabulate your votes and put up the results on the blog. You can only vote once, however, you can list up to three albums in each category. If you'd like to include a quick summary of why the record(s) in question was good, please do. We'll be selecting a few of them to accompany the article. Good point. I originally had it written as the "2nd Annual" However, then it occurred to me that two years in a row does not annual make. It's been fixed now. A reissue is any catalogue title that was re-released this year. For instance, Nirvana's In Utero was re-releases this year on Vinyl. That counts. A reissue would be something that was previously released (whether on vinyl or not) but with a different gatefold or single sleeve jacket maybe with new artwork or stuff like that. Grandview - Everything Between Paint and a Wall Gatherer - Caught Between A Rock and a Sad Place Young Lions - Burn ...and I don't think they'd win any community best of lists haha. Nevertheless, I'd have to say Have Mercy - The Earth Pushed Back Mansions - Doom Loop Turnover - Magnolia The Wonder Years - the Greatest Generation were all fantastic. (majorly overlooked HC album) Foxing "The Albatross" (I love the sound and feel the passion in this one. Dig it) Coasta "Zunzal" (Great Teaser - want more) The National "Trouble..." (They can do no wrong apparently) Old Grey "An Autobiography" Reissues: Songs Ohia "Magnolia..." (Seriously one of the best overall reissue packages I've ever seen) Samiam - the whole damn catalogue. This is the best thing about 2013 - Samiam for the people! Life of Agony "River Runs Red" 20th Anniversary - this makes me feel old but the music holds up suckers.
