thesecrets0308
See how subjective music is In my opinion, Sgt. Pepper is much better than Siamese Dream (I can't believe I'm comparing those two...), it's one of the greatest pieces ever written and it (well, actually the Beatles themselves) had quite a big "impact" on my life... ....ah, btw, I'm 29... It all depends on the person I suppose. I'm a big Beatles fan, but I'm an even bigger Pumpkins fan. To me it's very silly to argue with anyone about which band or album is better than another. Very subjective indeed.

randomfortunepa
They told me that the classics never go out of style, but they do, they do. Somehow baby, I never thought that we do too. My vote goes to Refused's The Shape of Punk to Come. This letter has some of my favorite albums making this the toughest decision yet. I put this just a notch above Songs to Fan the Flames... given it being more of a consistent album. I really cannot dismiss how much this album has influenced me from not only a musical standpoint, but a personal standpoint as well. Blending elements of Ink & Dagger, Fugazi, thrashy NYHC bands like Sick of It All, Nation of Ulysses, Snapcase and more this album really reinvented the genres of punk, hardcore and post-hardcore. Simple, yet very much complicated aggressive music with a strong political alter-ego. Honorable Mentions: Refused - Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today Cock Sparrer - Shock Troops Specials - Specials Sick of It All - Scratch the Surface Slayer - South of Heaven The Appleseed Cast - Sagarmatha Bush - Sixteen Stone Propagandhi - Supporting Caste Millencolin - Same Old Tunes The Mountain Goats - The Sunset Tree Hot Snakes – Suicide Invoice Ugly Casanova - Sharpen Your Teeth Kid Dynamite - Shorter, Faster, Louder Quicksand - Slip Ceremony - Still, Nothing Moves You Pixies - Surfer Rosa Portugal. The Man - Satanic Satanist The Adicts - Sound of Music chunkrock and ptrsev
Guest
while it's not abbey road or let it be, i'll put in for sgt peppers so that it at least puts up a fight here. plus it was the album that first got me into them.

thebiglebowski
Beatles superfans are some of the worst to argue music with. They always turn it around and go "come on, you don't like the Beatles? Look at the rest of the world! Look at this list that has them as the number one band ever! Look at how many albums they sold! There's no way I can be wrong." You don't get that nearly as much when you critique Dylan, the rolling stones, the who, Zeppelin, etc,.. sacredheart and cemeterytapes
