jetsfan4ever80
I'd probably go with 1973 as the greatest year in music, although I'm biased towards prog rock. Here are some from 73 - Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon King Crimson - Larks Tongues in Aspic Genesis - Selling England by the Pound ELP - Brain Salad Surgery The Who - Quadrophenia Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Paul McCartney - Band on the Run The Stooges - Raw Power David Bowie - Aladdin Sane Yes - Tales from Topographic Oceans vinyl addict

jtcohenour
^ I always thought that came out in '95. Then I realized Victory(?!) released it first. Yeah that's up there too! You are correct.

laralaurent
This is a better thread than the A-Z quest. Arguing which year was better. I was a young lass in 94 but it's nice to put some perspective on what albums came out. I remember 97 (OK comp; colour and the shape; either/or; life after death; etc) and 99 and 2003 being real sweet. And 2011 and last year.
