Shitty Rambo
I saw this on a very low brow message board this morning and figured they were lying (as they do). This is crappy. I was a diehard Ghostbusters enthusiast as a child.

videogamesandvinyl
He was great in Stripes. Absolutely! He had a great body of work on his resume but Stripes was always one of my favorites with him in it.
Tardcore
in addition to being a well known actor (Stripes/Ghostbusters) he also had an impressive list of writer/director credits (Groundhog Day, Animal House, Caddyshack, Meatballs, Back to School)

somethingvinyl
^^^ Hmm.. I think this is the greatest line from GB1: Gozer: [after Ray orders her to re-locate] Are you a God? [Ray looks at Peter, who nods] Dr Ray Stantz: No. Gozer: Then... DIE! [Lightning flies from her fingers, driving the Ghostbusters to the edge of the roof and almost off; people below scream] Winston Zeddemore: Ray, when someone asks you if you're a god, you say "YES"! Dr. Peter Venkman: All right! This chick is TOAST!
kidamnesiac
Do Ray Egon is from GB2.
controlthebleeding
Ths is such a fuckin' bummer. he was the writer and director of my favorite comedy of all time: Caddyshack. his movies made my childhood tolerable. I can't go a day without repeating a line from some movie he had part in. He's gonna be missed by a huge community of people. sigh.

chunkrock
Harold Ramis was the head writer on the first three seasons (the Canadian ones) of SCTV. Those seasons were super important to me growing up. I wish that there was somewhere I could stream/download/buy the complete seasons.
