The Mondo Records Thread - Good stuff is on Death Waltz now though.

What the hell happened with Mondo? Shitty release after shitty release using stills from mediocre movies. What happened to our Mondo that pressed 80's slashers instead of 2000's rom-coms? Josie and the Pussycats, Neon Blonde, Ingrid Goes West? Get bent!

bold prediction of the week - Friday release of a new Stanley Kubrick poster / clothes / record....all designed by olly moss

Sad to see your prediction not be true. Yeah Mondo releases are getting a bit smh. Why can't they do a Stranger Things vinyl release?

I will NOT stand for the Josie and the Pussycats slander.

Neon Blonde soundtrack is awesome... but what's the point of releasing 80's slashers when that space is Death Waltz's field. Also wasn't early Mondo releases stuff like Drive, Oblivion and The Raid? They rarely did 80's slashers.

There's already a ton of Stanger Things pressings by Invada. We don't need another one by Mondo

I don't usually like 7" boxsets, but I'm all about that one if it's going to look like how I'm thinking it will.  I want the 'screening edition', but that will be next to impossible to get (other than inflated eBay prices of course).

I was speaking for myself - Kind of hard for me to go to an event in London when I'm in LA.  But yes, I'm quite aware that going to the actual event, if I could, would be a way for me to attempt to get the record.  Dick.

You may want to read the announcement better...the event is in the UK ...and LA..

I stand corrected about the LA screening.  But I stand by my 'Dick' comment because your response was still snide considering you didn't even know at that time that I was in LA.
