My A--B Life CE arrived. Also with two bellybands but also an additional C/D record because the variant inside the package came out much darker than they thought (like, it didn't matter). Instantly listing this on discogs as OMG SUPER RARE two bellybands and 2x c/d side extended, super collector's vintage edition. £1000 ono etc

Round 2 has revealed that there isn’t really a weak link on this entire record. The Blank // Interludes are so-so, and I appreciate them as breathers or whatever. But even the singles I was initially lukewarm on have really nestled into their own pockets for the overall flow of this LP. Trying to think of the last time a band surprised me with such a solid turnaround when they were on the brink of falling off my radar entirely. Whoever said this could give Harmlessness a run for its money was not exaggerating.

The craziest thing is how these guys used to do vinyl as a fun little niche side project when they were releasing Maniac and stuff but now they’re pretty much a record shop that sells some expensive merch like tiki mugs and silk-screened posters on the side…

If they think they’re being “smart” by shipping them in poly bags, then they also better be smart enough to start shipping the records outside of the jackets
