  1. I agree, the studio album of A city by the light divided is absolutely terrible, worst sounding ever. And i hate the "we wanted it to sound like this" message people always say when criticism of it comes up. If thats the intentional sound I dont understand it.

  2. Yes, but a repress maybe! "A City by the Light Divided" live would be cool too, but I don't think they did that record live. Dave Fridmann absolutely butchered that studio album.

  3. Ugh! I hate when bands do that. Sell an expensive bundle and then after everyone orders it they release the only thing they wanted from the bundle.

I liked it too. Thought it was a little too committed to the bit, which made it feel unrealistic at times (especially when she gets to town), but as an exercise was very effective. Also recently watched Knock at the Cabin (liked it), M3GAN (pretty fun!) and Skinamarink (I guess it was good but just not for me). On my list for the month so far are Rosemary’s Baby, Amulet, Evil Dead Rise, In the Earth, and Malignant.

  6. The band did put a single from the new version yesterday. I actually enjoyed it better than the original, so I have no regrets at this time about buying a second, different version. If you want to check it out: https://nightmarer.bandcamp.com/album/deformity-adrift-reformed Wax Vessel said that the high cost on the signature variants was to help subsidize the cost on the natural PVC variant. I'm not sure the logic on that, unless they don't think many people are going to buy the PVC variant (or to help encourage more sales of the PVC variant with a lower price?). They also said it was to help get cash in the hands of Nightmarer to help support their Euro tour. Based on the state of the industry and how little these bands make in the genres we listen to, I'm fine with the price as long as the majority of the money is going to the band. 100%, which is why I'm glad 99% of their releases are bands that I have zero interest in.

  9. I just listened all the way through last night and get what you mean. This is a weird album and furthest from punch your face hardcore stuff. It goes heavy but also has a lot of sung songs. TBH a few of the later songs kinda reminded me of Adventures, at least vocally.

  10. I really love the Terrifier movies! Glad to hear you liked em! I watched Halloween 6 : The Curse of Michael Myers last night. Definitely one of the worst ones haha. Not sure if I'll be able to make it to 31 movies this month, but I'm going to try to squeeze in as many as I can.

  11. Played Mandy for my wife yesterday and she didn't hate it, which surprised me. We are big Nicholas Cage fans, though. I think I've seen most of his movies, even all of those numerous "bad" ones. Also, finally entered the Conjuring Universe, and WOW! So many great movies.
