Every Time I Die - Album 9

You keep bringing this up as though most of the folks who ordered from them weren't like, "Fuck, these guys suck but there is no other way to get this for a remotely reasonable price." Everyone gets it, dude. You just come across as obsessive and annoying.4 points -

My order still hasn't shipped either, for what it's worth.2 points -
I've been listening to a lot of Whirr lately, and I've got a few thoughts. 1. I miss the good old days 2. In hindsight, they are the reason all of indie music shifted towards shoegaze. Ride and Slowdive reunion albums and countless new bands would not have happened without Whirr making shoegaze the indie zeitgeist of the last decade. 3. They will never get credit for point 2 because they are 'Canceled' 4. Despite point 3 they sold out of everything they have released post G.L.O.S.S.GATE, and they have ~850,000 monthly listeners on spotify. 5. Point 4 should logically make no sense because of Point 3, but it kind of just makes me depressed as hell because it's proof that this band got railroaded by their labels and the music media over some straight up nonsense that got turned into a sociopolitical warzone and they were the only casualty. I hope they get the money and recognition they deserve at some point. Despite there being hundreds of new shoegaze bands, I never hear Whirr named as an influence but the sonic influence is in everything. Also, I wanted to rank the albums/EPs and see what everyone thinks 1.Pipe Dreams 2. Distressor 3.Feels like you 4.Nothing Split 5. Around 6. Sway2 points

"Kscope is thrilled to announce that throughout 2024 and into 2025 we will begin re-releasing the Oceansize catalogue, featuring their releases from 2007 onwards. Starting with a bang as an orange 12” on Record Store Day, the first release will be the EP Home & Minor, never before released on vinyl." https://kscopemusic.com/oceansize-join-kscope/2 points -

I could ship all these by myself from my house in less than 3 weeks. This is getting ridiculous. Curious about any acknowledgment on the overpriced shipping.1 point

I'm just glad that it's unlikely they'll ever press anything else I want.1 point -

I plan to get a signed one tomorrow. And a shirt. If the signed is available, it's definitely a "frame" copy. I'm not a huge fan of framed records, but I do have a few signed records/ sleeves/ prints in frames. This will be one of them.1 point -
People will argue with you but won't be able to name a different band responsible for the nügaze movement. Distressor > Around > Sway > FLY > Pipe Dreams But Pipe Dreams Redux is probably above Feels Like You to me. All 3 splits and the Muta/Blue Sugar single would make an incredible comp.1 point

Well. My copy arrived today Sunday. Nice surprise. It’s in perfect shape. I’m glad they put the records in poly-lined paper sleeves so not to damage the printed ones. Nice touch. And the resealable plastic sleeve is nice & thick. So far I’d say I’m impressed with IVC. I’ll re-up for Helmet’s Betty.1 point -

At first I thought this was kinda cheesy. Then I played the new version, then I played the original version. After sitting with it, its actually really cool they did this. While the original is a classic, you can hear how young they were when they recorded it, it was pure. Now hearing the new version you can hear how the song has grown over 23 years of touring and how mature they sound. Brandon's voice is deep and worn, the band is in the groove. As a band, you dream of these moments and I think its cool they stayed together long enough to do this.1 point
