Thank GOD Jack White is giving us a new pressing of Dopesmoker.  It sorely needed a new variant and repress.

You know the old adage: one to keep sealed, one to listen to, one to sell…
…and one to display in Urban Outfitters record frames, one to burn for warmth next January, one to pass onto your grandchildren, one to put under that short table leg to stabilize it and one to eat for roughage after the inevitable  start of WWIII.

Remember when a bunch of people were panicking about this release and saying that half of preorders weren't going to be filled? Looks like there will be plenty of Tool to go around. People who placed 8 orders might want to start canceling some of them now.

    Ryan Adams Chris Out Now!
Ryan Adams full length album Chris is available to download NOW for a limited time only!
For ONE WEEK ONLY you can download all the tracks direct from PAXAM. Before it is available on streaming services. ( PLUS one BONUS track available only to you ). Albums are expensive to record and I’ve seen your comments about the low dividends steaming pay. Here’s a way for us to keep the records flowing.
If you can’t afford this and want to hear it, please know it’s cool if your buddy wants to share it with you. My first Black Flag record was on side 2 of a blank cassette and it changed my life. So much so that I’m here with you now.
You keep the lights on at PAXAM and I love you cats. You’re the best fans in the world ( besides maybe KISS fans - but cmon )
    Thank You.
    PAXAM loves you

Not only that but they were getting progressively better as time went on.  All said and done, PH and [Untitled] are two of my favorite records of theirs.  What a trajectory they were on at the end there.  They really managed to transcend the high-school post-hardcore scene, for me.

Grabbed a black set of course. Will definitely try to catch them on the road, I've seen them a few times and they're always great. I was talking to a friend the other day about the concept of "favorite band" and realized that these guys have probably put out the most consistently excellent work over the past 21 years. Where a lot of other bands put out great stuff and then nosedive, these guys have managed to keep it up and keep fresh. Will definitely miss them.

You know, they actually posted that people had been hounding them about their stance on the current war between Russia and Ukraine and that is absolutely stupid. The band of course handled it very diplomatically but I'm certain the ones who questioned them are all people who don't know the first thing about what those countries are even in conflict over or how the US government has been prodding both countries into this current situation.

I consider myself more sensitive than most people to such issues as social justice and movements toward peace but I was galled to find out that people wanted to make sure Russian Circles weren't "Putin's buddies"...

Like, how literal and lacking in any form of subtlety can you be? People are stupid.

The first comment on Discogs.  I'm still having a hard time with all of this fluffy marketing copy.  It's, at this point, pretty fucking deceptive.

And that "10 page booklet" felt like a legit slap in the face.

Recorded in the modern-legendary Rhode Island studio Machines with Magnets, Seth Manchester manages to capture the sound of a room, the sound of machines and the sound of existence in an invitation to meditation. The piece on side A borrows from Cage’s 4’33”, demanding attention to the sound around you. Manchester captures the sound of guitar amplifiers, body movement and room resonance masterfully, making the listener feel transported to the room.
Side B, on its double groove, presents an interpretation of Nothing’s 2010 demo played back in the live room, melted into a beautiful resonated drone.
While this record may not be what most Nothing fans expected from a celebration of Nothing’s ten year successful career, it is a daring project that questions the meaning of music and sound, while being appropriate to the bands name - this is what Nothing sounds.

Yeh...while I'm not enthused that this is what it is, I imagine it'll never be pressed again and some nothing completions who missed out with pay big bucks down the line.

I hate that they played this shitty FOMO game. Could've turned out to be like that Whirr record everyone pays ludicrous amounts for, but it is what it is. Nothing is kind of burnt in my book for this though. I won't be buying anything else from them unless I know exactly what I'm getting.

I've got two on the way. Ordered one from the US, and then Evil Greed when they listed it. I meant to cancel the US order, as there is no point in paying for shipping from there, and forgot. Until  I got shipping notice.
