dantheriver
You have to cut the master lacquer using a lathe. From there, they make the stampers, etc. They just mention what type of lathe it was cut on for props, as Neumann is highly regarded. Cool. Makes much more sense now, thanks for the info! tape
so conflicted on whether to go for this or not.
derby625
I grabbed a copy on yellow. If it sounds awesome I'll get rid of my Hot Topic copy.
zacooper
picked up one of each to keep the collection going, mostly stoked on the cover as I haven't dropped the money on a first press yet.
Buffbloom
Marked as shipped also with tracking information. I think this is legit.
radiatorhums
I'm really interested to see how the sound quality is on Vheissu. The Hot Topic pressing I have sounds like it's playing through a shitty phone speaker, complete garbage.
zuck
Obscure Alternatives has a picture of the white & clear on their Facebook & even though I'm not a big fan of white vinyl, everything looks really nice.
TFP
Wow, Vheissu looks awesome! It has the gold embossment (sp?) like the first press.

TFP
Thrice - Vheissu This Classic 2005 release, gets a proper reissue finally!!The album has been restored to its original artwork of the 2005 release, featuring the Full Gold Foil Stamp & printed on a hard card stock gatefold. I like that part too.

Derek™
At the rate these are dwindling, I'll gladly snag a clear if anyone can confirm that it sounds [a lot] better than the HT press.
Guest FREE_ATTICUS
At the rate these are dwindling, I'll gladly snag a clear if anyone can confirm that it sounds [a lot] better than the HT press. samesies. not happy with my HT version. however the fact that they are lathe cut gives me a bit of hesitation. Derek™
samesies. not happy with my HT version. however the fact that they are lathe cut gives me a bit of hesitation. Yup. Not to mention it's $35 PPD. The idea of paying that much to own another copy of a record that sounds pretty lackluster... makes me pretty uncomfortable. Maybe the only instance I've encountered with an OG, single LP sounds better than a double LP reissue.
cbbrew22
Should be getting this tomorrow if they really are located in Glendale, CA. I am very happy to get this version as I really am not a fan of the HT press of this. I had the 1st press when it came out but traded it for an original Devil and God a couple years ago and I am happy to have this (or at least a version of it) again. RadDonut
This is not a lathe cut. They were just stating the lathe machine they use to cut the first record. They use that to make the stamper like mentioned previously. jaba1337
RadDonut
Also, I've wanted the gold foil 1st press for a long time but never ended up pulling the trigger. With that being said, the pictures on they're Facebook look really really great!
lupe
Ordered clear and yellow variant, holding out on white. I also got receipt from paypal and order confirmation from the label already. pushbacktosquare
jaba1337
Looks pretty nice, excited to see/hear the yellow. I agree with everyone else about the HT version too. Mine is warped, pressed off center, and really sounds like crap compared to the CD.
MayCauseDeath
I also ordered both because they look fantastic. I know the hotopic ones are supposed to sound horrible, so they don't have that much competition to be better
