radiatorhums
can anyone recommend some "jangly" bands, like the smiths but shoegaze lol I could be wrong, but I remember the early The Pains of Being Pure at Heart releases being pretty jangly. TheGhostOfRandySavage
I could be wrong, but I remember the early The Pains of Being Pure at Heart releases being pretty jangly. Super jangly. S/T and Higher Than the Stars were jangly as fucccccck.
radiatorhums
Super jangly. S/T and Higher Than the Stars were jangly as fucccccck. I need to revisit them. I enjoyed their early stuff for the most part, but it also seemed to fall into "background while I'm working" music and never grabbed my full attention. GHOSTDRONES
can anyone recommend some "jangly" bands, like the smiths but shoegaze lol Maybe more twee pop than Shoegaze, but anything on Sarah records would fit the bill

drds89
"jangle-gaze" -- here we go, I'm checking this out (And I was in grade school when those original 12 string Rickenbackers were jangling)
NapalmBrain
can anyone recommend some "jangly" bands, like the smiths but shoegaze lol It's hard to fit that bill but maybe Moose. If you want something newer maybe Alvvays or Field Mouse
jhulud
So that's how all those wonderful shoegaze and dream-pop bands we love make their sweet sweet music...

Derek™
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1222469052/lovesliescrushing-bloweyelashwish-vinyl-edition Was wondering when this would get posted. I went in for the vinyl about a week ago. Really hope it meets its goal in the next 12 days.

drds89
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1222469052/lovesliescrushing-bloweyelashwish-vinyl-edition I head about this first from Sly Vinyl. Likewise hoping this makes it to goal. Sometimes those 11th hour pushes can be phenomenal - can't imagine this falling short!
radiatorhums
I have to admit I haven't heard the album, but I've seen the band's name quite a few times. Going to listen to it tomorrow and make a decision!
mellowtooth
Listening to the album for the first time right now. Wow, this shit is legitimately weird as fuck and super experimental. Really digging it so far.

youspinmeround
Just secured my ticket to see JAMC in October. Beyond pumped for this. saw them twice on this tour. Good stuff but black ryder as an opener took the cake
mellowtooth
yeah I got tickets for the September Boston show, can't wait. I also pulled the trigger on that loveliescrushing donation - they've got 12 days left and I really hope they make it. $28 shipped to the states (and not even charged til it gets funded) is a steal for a blue remastered press signed by the band
Eliminator Jr.
When I saw them last year they were absolutely horrible. They could neither play or sing their own songs and sounded like a bad high school cover band. They had to start Just Like Honey three times because that guy was not able to play the guitar lick. It was cringeworthy and most people left after two songs or so. I dearly hope you guys will see a much better performance than I did. Maybe they were just too drunk or didn't care at all that night. radiatorhums
I had an early flight the next morning, so I missed JAMC when they played here a few months ago.

Yeah, I've heard some mixed things about them live. I guess when they're good they're great, but when they're bad it's horrendous. Anyone have any first hand experiences from the tour? Has it started yet?
