leviegalapon
Did anyone ever have any luck finding awesome vinyl at Goodwill? I heard of people actually finding Circa Survive and The Ataris at their Goodwill.
Werner Herzog
I'm quite lucky, every time I go to a goodwill I find Garth Brooks tapes CodyG, darkforest71, Tommy and 10 others
Bladewillisisdead
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks. Jacket was probably G condition, but the actual record looked practically NM. Not bad for 50 cents. Picked up a handful of soundtracks for between 25 and 50 cents and all the jackets are pretty fucked and the records don't look great, but they play. The Godfather, The Muppet Movie, The Shining, Midnight Cowboy, Apocalypse Now, Easy Rider. Also got a George Carlin record. Spent probably $5 total on everything I've gotten from there. I found a copy of the 2001: A Space Odyssey soundtrack and got so fucking excited...but it had like an Engelbert Humperdink record or some shit inside the jacket. If anyone needs any Barbra Streisand records though, Goodwill is your spot. mmhmm and leviegalapon
kjkenney
I never find anything, but I look every time in hopes that for some reason maybe theres something. I have a buddy who found some Blue Note jazz stuff he was able to sell for a good amount, but I never have that luck.

LOL at the Humperdink thing but yeah, I was actually at Goodwill a few days ago and I came across a few Streisand records
JoToRoBo
Last time I went I scored the Ghostbusters soundtrack, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, and Kiss. I thought it would only be about 30 cents a piece, but they raised the price to 1 dollar per record at my local Goodwill. Still 5 dollars well spent. BeardlessYouth
I once found an entire cassette collection of heavy/death/black metal for $1 a piece. I bought 35 of them. dickcritter and swinx
TFP
I found a Lionel Richie album signed to a fan on the inside of the jacket's gatefold for a $1. Ent and leviegalapon
Youinreverse
I've had some good thrift store finds. Pearl Jam - Crown of Thorns 7" for $.25 is my best find, I think. I've found some other good Zeppelin, Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Jimi Hendrix, but it doesn't happen often.

Bladewillisisdead
now I kind of want to go to my goodwill and look The one in Wappingers has a horrible set up for their records (I'm sure most are the same though). It's a huge pain in the ass to look through them.
David Loyd
I've never found anything as new as Circa. But some very cool stuff. Beatles, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash all in very good shape. Recently found some Bob Marley, Miles Davis and John Coltrane stuff that ended up being worth some pretty serious cash. leviegalapon and Ent
nancy_raygun
Picked up a copy of Warron Zevon - Excitable Boy in VG condition. I like digging through the goodwill bins sometimes, just to kill half an hour. I usually take home something just because. Not too long ago I picked up some unlabeled Mariachi records, that was fun. imaxcowboyx

TheGhostOfRandySavage
The goodwills around here charge like $3 per record now. It's stupid. That said I've seen some good scores,(explosions in the sky, some other stuff) and I've scored some pretty expensive old Beatles records, got an Owen record once, some decent older punk/metal stuff). I've lucked out on a lot of other stuff besides records though. Best find was some M:tG cards that I sold for a pretty penny, and a copy of earthbound for SNES that I also sold for quite a bit after I finished with it. clumsymonkey and leviegalapon
koljou
The Faint - Danse Macabre for $0.99 Literally the only good thing I have ever found. But an awesome find nonetheless.

funtitled
i once found a copy of green day's dookie but when i opened it...it was tom petty or something (how do you even put the wrong album in a jacket.) and then theres the story of me passing up on a yellow-clear ribbed but writing about that is going to be way too frustrating
