the only two albums from 2015 I've given a lot of listening time to are Sunbather and Sistere..

i should work on this

Considering Sunbather was released a few years ago, it sounds like you've got your work cut out for you.

// Te' - 其れは、繙かれた『結晶』の断片。或いは赫奕たる日輪の残照。

Wait, what?

I'm not very good at keeping up with new music, so the bulk of the records from 2015 that I listened to were by musicians whom I already enjoyed. So, in no particular order...

Lucero- All a Man Should Do

Desapercidos- Payola

Florence and the Machine- How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Joey Kneiser- The Wildness

Chvrches- Every Open Eye

Beach Slang - The Things We Do to Find People Who Feel Like Us

Deafheaven- New Bermuda

In no particular order

> Murder By Death - Big Dark Love

> mewithoutYou - Pale Horses

> Father John Misty - I Love You, Honeybear

> Beach House - Depression Cherry

> Flint Eastwood - Small Victories

> Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell

> Sol Cat - Uno

> Neon Indian - VEGA INTL. Night School

Missed the boat on a lot of albums this year, sadly. Will have to make a point to check quite a few out before I forget!

Honourable Mention:

As far as covers go, this kills me (as does vol. 1)

> Murder By Death - As You Wish: Kickstarter Covers Volume 2

I think I have already posted a list months ago but Sumac is the only new release this year that still has any effect on me, maybe minus Godspeed, Lightning Bolt and Ilyas Ahmed.

I'm [still] in love with the other artists on your brief list, but I've never even heard of Ilyas Ahmed.  Color me intrigued.

Whoa, no way? Listen to Visitor. It's a band that is him and Liz Harris.
