Keep in mind, this is all based people's opinions - ears and gear may vary. 30 Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie (Picture Disk) A Sunny Day In Glasgow - Sea When Absent // Sort of like Capitol's Amnesiac pressing where it's hard to pinpoint why it doesn't sound good... it just sounds off. doomcreep
That Pianos Become The Teeth Close RSD 7-inch this year that had an unbearable amount of noise, destroying two excellent tracks.

Shelby
All Capitol Radiohead releases sound shitty. That Pianos Become The Teeth Close RSD 7-inch this year that had an unbearable amount of noise, destroying two excellent tracks. The problem is the quiet part of the first song. The second song sounds fine, but yeah this belongs on the list. I'd like to add Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F♯ A♯ ∞ It's missing like 20 minutes, I'd be all over a double LP redo. Eliminator Jr.
I'd like to add Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F♯ A♯ ∞ It's missing like 20 minutes, I'd be all over a double LP redo. Technically, no. The LP version is the album the way it was first released. Providence hasn't even been recorded until the first batch of vinyl was sold out and was dropped on the CD version, which is not only about double the length, but also sports a lot of differences and rearrangements within the two original songs. Also: The Antlers. Hospice - Distorted, flat, unlistenable

Shinji
Way too many, and that makes me want to stop buying records and just listen to mp3s Klefki
Klefki
If I see anything's been pressed by URP nowadays I just don't buy it unless I see people saying good things.
_stretts
I have always found Volcano Choir's Repave didn't sound quite right to me - clear pressing
tape
I have two Bayside albums and they're both pretty bad, especially Acoustic. That's the worst pressing I've ever heard. Victory's pressings seem to have a range from "merely adequate" at the top end to "unbearably bad" at the bottom. I completely ignore them for vinyl at this point. tacoape
My copy of Good News for People Who Love Bad News sounds really thin. I don't think I've heard much about this one being a known issue.

birdwell
Goldfinger self-titled by SRC......horrendous MxPx Life In General (white) by tooth and nail all I got off the top of my head (surprise two more pop-punk records sound horrible? Gasp)
throughbeingcruel
1st press of balance and composure's the things we think we're missingMine didn't have any surface noise, but I've heard everyone else complain. SRC's green marble Starting Line- Say It Like You Mean It (Cheek to Cheek sounds fucking terrible) Lydia- Illuminate PBTT- Close 7" (side A hardly listenable) Taking Back Sunday- Tell All Your Friends, grey marble Thursday- War All The Time, grey with smoke/marble I'm sure I have more in my collection that sound subpar, but that's all I can think of at the moment. What really sucks is that minus the PBTT 7", the rest of those are fuckin' all-timers for me.

deadreckoning
Radiohead // OK Computer (Columbia) - I don't know what it is about this, but it just sounds shrill and off. That's because it is shrill and off.
emacs
Melvins - Hold It In Not sure how they managed to fuck it up as bad as they did
omik11303
Courtesy Drop - Songs to Drive To; Cry, and Make Love To I actually got rid of it because a burned CD sounded better than the actual vinyl. Such a muddy pressing.
dapeebs
30 Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie (damn picture discs...) Klefki
cambionic
I'm unsure if I should buy those Radiohead albums on Amazon if I don't know which pressing they'll end up shipping. I might have to stick with Discogs for this one.
pizza face
Spooky Black - Leaving EP Bought it brand new sounds VG even after a clean, probably the worst sounding album I own. I don't think they brushed any dust off before pressing it

Mathyou99
I got rid of my Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute (White) a looooong time ago because I thought it sounded awful. I got a repress on clear and it sounded much better. I just remember thinking I must have gotten a bad copy or it was a terrible press because normally I wouldn't have gotten rid of THAT particular album, that easily. The picture disc sleeve made that album suck. I know it matched the original artwork, but it should have still been in a sleeve.
