bobpaul
the cover is a black X on black, so it's kind of hard to see. discogs probably shows it best. here are the three prints inside the record with the three band members (minus the female bassist that left the band shortly after the self titled. bear801
It's a legit source, if I had the extra cash I'd do it too. Too bad it wasn't a white copy. But really cool you got one! I felt like puking after i bought it but my wife said "look its ur fav band ever. You have to".That and im about to list some rare stuff to fund this lol
Gumbo72203
$100 for Effloresce by Oceansize is my new top.... Really wish this record was pressed more than once. It's so astonishing. I don't understand why labels do such limited runs of albums like this. Its been out of print for over a decade now.
Family Friendly Rap God
$150- Coheed and Cambria SSTB (Green marble tour variant with 7")
scottyrobotty
I just nearly doubled my previous one and spent $150 + shipping from Europe for a Sigur Rós - Ágætis Byrjun test press. It's my 3rd copy of the record and I feel like it's a pretty good deal for a Sigur Rós test considering OG copies can go for that much. I really only have two records left to get my collection complete to my satisfaction. I'd still take a ( ) or Valtari test press but I'm not holding out for those, and yes, I know the ( ) test is on eBay right now.
natenomm
$80 for the first "The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked" Boris record. I had to fill that fucking box set.
clerk3745
A few pages back I said $220 for Led Zepplin's BBC Sessions. That was incorrect. I snagged Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" on eBay for $285.
Dominic_
I just spent $90 to get FUTCT /1000 black.
Mathyou99
I spent 130 a few years ago to buy Hum - Downward is Heavenward (OP - Blue). I found it in the new used section of my local store a day after I got to see them live in KC in 2011. Apparently a guy from the same town I was from traded in one of his two OP's to make enough money to go see the show. I wish I knew who he was to thank him!!!!!!! sundermunich
$450 on AFIs Dork, which I sold a year later for the same price because I was a stupid college student. On both occasions.
sundermunich
I spent $200 on a test pressing of Regina Spektor's Soviet Kitsch. Shit that's fucking fantastic. Especially considering you can't find a regular copy under $
sundermunich
$400.00 on The XX self titled Sculpture of an Album edition. #001/500 How could I be so crazy to spend that much on that album? It's my favorite album, and I can't imagine there being a more sought after version of this album than 001/500. I never see the first of any edition available, not to mention my favorite album's 001. I imagine 20/500 is pretty sought after
ehansen18
$40 shipped for La Dispute - Somewhere At The Bottom of the River Between Vega And Altair, Cream/Black/400 first pressing variant. nickelnine59
I've made it a rule to never spend over $50 for a record, rather wait for a repress. The whole limited aspect of collecting isn't for me. Jamie XX - In Colour (3XLP edition) - got it for $40 Thrice - Vheissu (Tan Marbled / Peach Marbled Hot topic edition with original cd cover) $
jcllnsn
Bought that RHP box set earlier this year, £103. I suppose that's 4 albums though
Eliminator Jr.
Bought that RHP box set earlier this year, £103. I suppose that's 4 albums though Plus that's a pretty neat price. People are paying double or nearly triple the dough for it. I've made it a rule to never spend over $50 for a record, rather wait for a repress. The whole limited aspect of collecting isn't for me. That's how I roll, too. I broke the rule like fifty times, but it's still a rule, isn't it? dirac
