Eliminator Jr.
Got a promo copy today, listened to it 5 times now. It's pretty solid I guess. My favourite track still is 'Being Beige'. Loving how zwansy it is..

dreamover
Is anyone going to the Chicago show tomorrow? I bought two tickets but none of my friends can make it cause of the holiday so I'm going solo and I have an extra ticket.

beags
LOVE this album thus far. With the exception of Run2me. Just me or does it feel insanely out of place with the sound/feel of the rest of the album?
radiatorhums
This made me laugh, it's pretty ridiculous. http://www.avclub.com/article/billy-corgananderson-cooper-feud-has-made-it-merch-212467?utm_medium=RSS&utm_campaign=feeds

azvd
The album is solid and is IMHO superior to Oceania, which was already his better move since TheFutureEmbrace. I like the fact that its straight and doesn't leave room for hesitations. The album also benefits from the fact that they're not trying to convince anyone that it's a Smashing Pumpkins album or that there's this struggle to sound as if every member has an important role to be played (something that bothered me with Oceania, I felt that they had this need to make each member relevant to the songs). If you ignore Schroeder's presence, it sounds more like BC solo music and that's pretty good at this point. I'm also suprised that Tommy Lee's drumming, somewhat simpler, fits way better than anyone else trying to emulate Jimmy's style. He just gave what the songs asked for and that was it. The album is good enough to deserve a purchase. But I'll probably stick to the CD 'cause that's the way my Pumpkins collection is.
dreamover
i finally got a chance to listen to the Adore vinyl reissue and it sounds incredible. probably the best sounding pumpkins remaster on vinyl yet. ava adore caught me off guard. i've never been a huge fan of the song, but this copy of the vinyl is definitely the best it's ever sounded. nickxmurphy
I picked up the 2011 Siamese Dream reissue and it sounds incredible. The four songs per side work really well, so you don't have that Mellon Collie box set/Zero being crammed in on that one side fuzziness. I ordered the 2011 Gish as well, can I expect the same quality?

The only two I've come across that I'm not happy with are MCIS and Pisces.
kidamnesiac
Gish is the most improved sounding. All of the reissues sound great with the exception of Zero/Mellon Collie. And the Euro press of Mellon Collie does not have Zero problem.
radiatorhums
I got a copy of Gish in the mail today. I don't think I've listened to it more than a few times in passing, it's almost like a new album to me

samehardluckx
Given Monuments a couple of full listens and I really like it. Tommy Lee killed it with the drums. Favorite songs right now are "Anti-Hero" and "Drum + Fife"
kidamnesiac
Setlist from Kimmel last night: Being Beige One And All (We Are) Hummer Tonight, Tonight Drum + Fife Zero Bullet With Butterfly Wings Fame (David Bowie) The band was great. The crowd was terrible. Nobody moved. At all.
