kramer73
the new record will have a limited edition on lime green vinyl available through Madame Zuzu's on monday. 1000 being pressed. Autographed + tea packages and all that. Hopefully you can buy the green vinyl on it's own but we'll find out monday. I'd rather have the green vinyl without the autograph. I thought I'd be ok with it, but now I don't really want to spend an extra 50 for him to write his name on it. I'm getting cheap in my old age. Ryan8765
To be fair the tea is really fucking good. I'm not a snooty tea guy connoisseur or whatever.
achillesstand7
Hm, I might do this. I'm not a tea drinker, but my wife is a big tea drinker so she may appreciate some new teas. Hm...
kidamnesiac
I wouldn't mind the tea thing if it wasn't so excessive. The idea should be to introduce fans to the tea and get them hooked, right? How about make the autographed LP $40 and include a free sampler of teas as an intro? Instead I just feel like it's getting shoved down my throat. Who needs $50 of tea with an LP? throwgncpr, highfives and ExtraFox
brandy
Really disappointed but not surprised with the pricing

This is a good point. I'm never going to plop down $50 on tea I've never sampled. I don't care if Billy sends a "Billy Corgan Fun Pack" of shit along with an autographed record that they made 5 of. If you want to introduce people to the tea you're selling, give them a discounted sampler pack when they buy your album ($5 sampler with purchase! Originally $12!) If it's worth $50, people will come back and buy it. I'll just order this record from Amazon for $20. Or shit, maybe I'll wait until after Christmas when there are 60 online sellers who have it and it only costs $13 shipped, because that will happen. highfives
You are also buying an album that you've heard one song. Either way you are taking a chance that you'll get shit. So you're saying we've had a sample of the album? It's true, buying an album after hearing one track is chancing it, but I'm familiar with Billy's latest efforts, enjoy them, and enjoy the single that I've heard. So I'm ok with taking that $20 chance. I have never had any of the tea Madam Zuzu's sells, not even a one tea bag sample, so I'm definitely not going to chance being out 2.5 times the amount of money. stl_ben

unknown pleasures
I'm obviously in the minority here but I'd probably be fine paying around $40 for an autographed colored vinyl LP and $20 for some tea so $60 total - the asking price here isn't too far off. I think it's just seeing the $50 price tag next to some tea that makes this look so crazy.
stl_ben
If you were fine with $60 total, that's like half of this price.....It cost $98 shipped in the US.
unknown pleasures
Yes, I was thinking before shipping. Why the heck don't they offer a media mail option? Does the tea prevent that?
TheGhostOfRandySavage
Yes, I was thinking before shipping. Why the heck don't they offer a media mail option? Does the tea prevent that? Yes. Tea can't be considered "educational material" which is what media mail is technically for. JoToRoBo
