When I lived at home, my parents made it very clear they were against tattoos and if I ever got one then I wouldn't be able to live at home. After years of wanting one and talking to my younger brother, he said that he talked to my parents and they said they really wouldn't mind if I got one. So I went and got one and a few months later my dad saw it and he didn't talk to me for weeks. But I didn't get kicked out so that's good.
