It's weird it even comes with one, since that is the whole point of an acrylic platter. You can always put the felt on it when not using it, to add another dust shield. My Debut Carbon is a pain in the ass to change speeds, because the belt is actually tucked underneath the platter, and I have to lift the whole platter off the table to change. Gonna buy a Speedbox as soon as I have some extra cash. Cork mats rule. I put one on my Carbon about a week ago, and noticed at least a 90% decrease is static.
