+hecollec+or
Hot Topic rarely if ever sells "in store only" vinyl. Someday when it gets closer to coming out Travis will give us a date and then around that date it will be in stores and online. This should be at the top of every Hot Topic related page. dantheriver
This should be at the top of every Hot Topic related page. Nobody would read it. It just has to be answered a thousand times on an individual basis and you hope that one person retains the knowledge so you at least don't have to tell them twice. mrbungles
Travis, I know store space is tight... but with all the amazing vinyl you work on putting out... is there any thought to giving these releases a respectable space in the stores. A lot of the time, after hunching down in the middle of the store looking like Sméagol searching for a stupid ring... I find what I'm looking for... But it's in less than "precious" condition. Or the staff hasn't put out the new releases because of limited space. Just a thought. Nateisgame and openupyourskull

When my local store had a manager that was big into vinyl they kept everything neat, organized and in good shape. He transferred to another store and it's been shit ever since. I don't buy anything there now unless it just came in and hasn't touched their sales floor yet.
crash53456
One of my HT's is good for storage and puts out the new stuff, one of them is good for storage and has a terrible selection and nothing new and then the one in Orlando is just a mess because it has soooooo many. CVHX
A lot of the time, after hunching down in the middle of the store looking like Sméagol searching for a stupid ring. I will think of this when I am crouched down in a dark hot topic store from now on. Too funny hahaa
Santa Bateman
My section is close to the glass shit with the wallets or whatever when its crowded forget about it. Gotta hit it either early or late or a weekday when all the fools are at work/school
pizza face
Theres only one hot topic around me that sells vinyl. Luckily I've been able to acquire all the releases I've wanted except for dawn of the dead. They told me the closest store in the district was about 2 hours away and I was a little confused as to why he couldn't offer to ship it to their store for me. rjmarine
The Hot Topic by me has the vinyl in a crate, on the floor, in the back corner and only every about 15-20 records out at a time. Again, limited selection and barely any new releases. I too would like to lobby for all Hot Topics having some kind of respectable space for vinyl. I was at an Urban Outfitters the other day and they have a visible wall dedicated to sorted and clean vinyl with a great selection of older and newer. This is why I resort to mainly HT online purchases.

+hecollec+or
The one HT I go to once a year for records has their's right in front of the checkout line. So you get to paw through vinyl while annoying everyone in line. It's awesome.

It was very similar to this: As opposed to HT where there were 20 records in a crate on the floor.

Oilerguy
I've only visited one HT, and sadly it was the Orlando one. Four crates of damaged and already opened vinyl meant I didn't leave with any.
