omik11303 Posted November 5, 2014 Author Share Posted November 5, 2014 Wildlife and Somewhere at the Bottom... are tied for the best for me, personally. Both have some really, really good tunes. ("New Storms for Older Lovers" pumps me up no matter how many times I listen to it.) Rooms just doesn't feel like a La Dispute album. It's unbearably boring; I still haven't listened through it the whole way because I just can't bring myself to sit through the whole thing. Really a shame, too, because I was looking forward to this ever since Wildlife came out. Also, I got my S/T 7" in the mail yesterday. Still can't believe I got it for $15 shipped. Edit: Yup. nine and twelve are in my opinion, far and away their best work, and basically all I can tolerate by them. I'll give those woman songs a listen now though. I think the restraint exercised and the maturity of drilling down to the band's core sound puts Rooms miles above Wildlife, which is still a fantastic record.
