brandy
It was tough not picking Answer That And Stay Fashionable, Alexisonfire's s/t or Rancid's AOCTW. But I'll have to go with Probably one of my top 10 albums.
Derek™
I know that the stance on Thrice is really love-or-hate here at VC, but I will say that TAITA is the first "modern" album I purchased and appreciated from start to finish. It was a stepping stone to everything I listen to today, and helped me realize that bands worth following can write more than just a handful of singles per record. I don't find myself listening to them nearly as much these days, but that's an excellent pick no less. brandy

tittus
Apathy and Exhaustion.Hard to pick between this and As The Eternal Cowboy, but I'm going with Apathy.
thebiglebowski
I love cowboy too but it's too short to compare with Apathy. Something like 25 minutes long and that's including an interlude.
whoshotthefrog
Converge - Axe To Fall These three albums had strong consideration for my pick, especially The Action Is Go, but ultimately Axe To Fall won. Fu Manchu - The Action Is Go Converge - All We Love We Leave Behind Bongzilla - Apogee
Derek™
Another stellar choice, frog. And Sean picked my favorite Tool record. The A album is such a tough choice. [edit] And right as I post that, Olsvik follows it up with my initial A pick. Few sounds compare to the beauty of Refinement. I'm actually kind of waffling between it and Alligator at the moment. Such an important record in the ambient genre.

WalnutSoap
Absolution (Muse) (p.s it was a pretty tough decision between this and Aim & Ignite)
thebiglebowski
It might help if people wrote out the name of the album as well. If it's on the record that's cool but there have been two pictures posted I have no clue what album they are.

topher
I kinda like this idea. Even if half of it will be high-school core... Anyways, this. Also, if it's not too late to make suggestions, after the whole list is compiled, we should have VCers write reviews for each album. That way the list won't just consist of album covers.
