Therefore, when dealing with physical vinyl, black is a color. White light is the combination of all colors of light. Vinyl isn't made out of light. Yes and no. Color is perceived by what is absorbed by the object and what is reflected by the object in your brain (ie: people who are colorblind vs people who are not). White IS the reflection of all light. Black, on the other hand, is the absorption of all light. Blue, as an example, is the reflection of blue and also the absorption of all colors BUT blue. So, yeah, the color of vinyl actually is the reflection of light. If the artwork is plain or indifferent I also dig clear (coke bottle or standard) or a translucent matching color. Yeah, I would have to say that my preference for color is almost exclusively based upon what the album artwork looks like. Also, anything but white. I loathe white vinyl.
