I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I feel confident in saying nearly any TT  would be an improvement in sound quality and extending the life of your records than what you're currently using.  At the risk of sounding elitist and I really hate the way this sounds but, I wouldn't play my records on your turntable.  Not anything I valued anyway.  I'm not sure what your budget is, but you can drop about as much money as you can imagine on a set up.  I'd say from your current TT, a $300-400 TT upgrade would be a good start.  There's a good thread somewhere on here that I found really helpful when I was looking for real TT rather than the toy I was using at the time.

Its a bloodsport more it is any true moral outrage if you ask me.  His actions definitely warrant condemnation, for sure.  However in my experience, we seldom hold our friends, families, co-workers or ourselves to these same standards.  There's just something enjoyable about destroying something or somebody.

I still want it. But that price point is absurd. 2 song black 7" without a jacket came out to over $16 shipped. I jumped on it, because it's limited to /1000 (low for AFI) so I figured it was now or never. It's only going up in price on the second hand market if I don't swallow the $16 and jump on it now. 

Now they take that "limitedness" away. Let's say there's 5k or 10k. These will end up on the second hand market for peanuts in a couple of years. And might end up going out to distributors so local shops can order them. Can get that same 7" for half the price now. 

It's just shady business practice to get people to jump on a preoder. Then second guess your pressing numbers and raise them, after 1000 customers already committed to what was supposed to be a "limited record".  It's not that we don't want it. It's just an asshole move. Which a lot of us have come to expect out of labels like Rise. 

You got it all wrong, only the first 1,000 were limited to 1,000. After that, it's unlimited. Hope that clears things up!

There was an email update about a delay several weeks ago
 
First of all... thank you again for your support and DOUBLE thank you for your patience!  The Ska Against Racism vinyl is pressed, printed, and on its way to Bad Time Records HQ from the pressing plant in Europe.  It's expected to arrive the last week of November / First week of December - once it does, myself, Mike Park, and some friends will start working ASAP to get these shipped out to you.  It's a big job but we can't wait to get them in your hands.  Records will begin shipping December 4th and into that next week.  You should expect them in the mail the week of December 14th.  This unfortunately coincides with the busiest mail time of year, so I ask that you please be patient with us and USPS once these ship!  You will receive a tracking number as soon as they go out - if you don't get one, please feel free to reach out and check.  Trust me that we will do our absolute best to get these packed up and shipped to you as fast as possible.
