nyhi
awesome thanks for the links! Piccadilly, Norman, What and Resident are all listing one or both of the EU coloured editions as in stock. I can't speak for international shipping prices, but I only buy from Banquet if there's no alternative. High prices, high shipping prices and poor customer service (in my experience). http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/search.asp?artist=modest+mouse&title=&format=&catalogue=&submit.x=0&submit.y=0 http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/counter/search.php?search=Modest+Mouse http://www.resident-music.com/search&keyword=modest%20mouse https://www.normanrecords.com/poogle/index.php?q=modest+mouse
soundfanz
I've read elsewhere of people having some problems with the coloured versions of these 2 albums. Anyhow, got my black vinyl LCW in yesterday, and after a good clean, it sounds pretty good. No noise, and vinyl is flat too.

Needed a couple good cleans before it got there though

There'll always be people complaining about colored vinyl, regardless of what it actually sounds like. I've made some disappointing experiences with colored vinyl myself, but many people (audiophiles?) tend to say it's shit, just because its colored. I bought black copies of both albums to listen to and colored ones for the sake of having two of my favorite albums on awesome looking vinyl, but it turned out they do sound just as good as the black ones. Domiendr
I got my colored LCW today. Am I the only one that finds it weird that they are in two sleeves and not in a gatefold?
Youinreverse
I got my colored LCW today. Am I the only one that finds it weird that they are in two sleeves and not in a gatefold? That's how the originals came. I really like that they stuck with the same design for the reissues.
unravelled
Just got in my src 7s that I ordered months ago. Of course they were black. Because it had been so long, I'd forgotten I'd placed the order from SRC. So about a month ago I placed an order through GP (I think) and received the color versions within a week. FU and thank you SRC.
tomfiend
I ordered both LCW and Long Drive from fat possum on the 4th, as they said they were in stock (sold out on glacial pace). Still haven't got them so I guess it was a lie, and they are waiting to be restocked aswell.
downisthenewup87
Colored officially canceled by Banquet. Local shops still without the normal version. I'm going to be one sad panda if this winds up having been a super limited release.
xxmartinxx
I preordered LCW and Long Drive from CCMusic. I got LD, but not LCW. No one seems to have LCW. How many did they press? 500? Fuck...
Eliminator Jr.
There are no official numbers concerning the black standard pressings AFAIK. I'd say faaaar too little..

This was listed as backordered on the Glacial Pace website for the whole of November up to a few days ago, so I would say that another batch will go to distributors sooner or later. If it had sold out, you would not be able to order it in the Glacial Pace store, but you still can (again).

rabbitvinyl
If anybody in Montreal is looking for copies of LCW and Long Drive, the HMV mega-store had one copy of each on Friday night. They're probably still there. LCW was $35 and Long Drive was $30, IIRC.

suchashorttime
7" to scoot out before the new year, you think?
rabbitvinyl
7" to scoot out before the new year, you think? It's December 12th, I highly doubt anything new will be released this year. They're supposed to be pressing more LCW and Long Drive LPs, though.
Fowty Dollaz
7" to scoot out before the new year, you think? Probably not, but I suspect it won't take too much longer (in the grand scheme of Modest Mouse releases it will be a blink of an eye). It's December 12th, I highly doubt anything new will be released this year. They're supposed to be pressing more LCW and Long Drive LPs, though. I agree, but just because they shared a picture doesn't mean it wasn't taken 18 weeks ago. They are a mysterious bunch, those Modest Mice. I believe that they are trying to keep all the previous releases in stock. I say this because I've seen "The Fruit..." go out of stock and return in the past 6 months. Eliminator Jr.
I'm pretty baffled about how I was the most excited in years for two old records being rereleased and now with new music being teased, I honestly couldn't care less about it.. Post 'Moon' Modest Mouse just don't do anything for me at all. TheGhostOfRandySavage
