Got the TKOL newspaper album in today that I bought on discogs, spinning now, sounds super. On a related note, if anyone has an In Rainbows discbox or a deluxe Eraser that they would be willing to part with for a fair price, message me. Have the embossed AMOK album already so good there.  Got a shipping notice for TMB this morning also.

Very interesting!  May I ask if your "shipping date" was considered today, or did it give you a more realistic shipping date since you already have it?  I'm thinking they might be playing a little catch-up here.  I ordered mine the day it came out (USA) and according to the email, it shipped this morning.

There was no deluxe version of The Eraser, unless you're talking about the embossed foldout CD? All the LPs I've ever seen are the same: 180 gram with embossed cover.

the embossed eraser is the "deluxe" same record inside the sleeve.. 180gram and all... which is why i didnt bother dropping $30 on it the other day..

Interesting. Those covers were around for years after it came out. I had no idea there was ever a version without the embossing.

maybe the embossed were the first run.. then they switched over to the regular.. same matrix runouts/etc.

 

speaking of which.. i picked up a first run of kid A.. thinking thought the only difference between that and the early Eu pressings is the sleeve.. again, same matrix runouts... different plant i guess but same plates.

I think this must have been the case. I've seen both Embossed and Non. The Non- appear to be more common and you can still get sealed ones of the Non- pretty readily.

speaking of the eraser.. just picked up the 12" for ananlyze and harrowdown hill with the b-sides  still waiting for tomorrows modern boxes.  I have to say that the hobbyist in me likes the way thomo  released this.  I didnt (totally) know it was coming and it has no official release or delivery date for me to stress over and look forward to.  It will show up when it shows up and beyond that I have no expectations.

rec'd my copy today. Surprised by the thinness of the cardboard mailer, but it came without any visible damage so that's good. Haven't opened far enough to check the jacket or vinyl though.

Had the same sense on arrival but it was fine. The anti-static bag was a bit crammed into the box.

 

In any event, this doesn't feel like $50, despite all the adjectives thrown at it on the website...
